The Costa Blanca / Valencia / Alicante Province region

Quite understandably the Costa Blanca attracts millions of visitors a year from all over the world. They come for the all-the-year round sunny climate, the clean blue Mediterranean with its sandy beaches and strikingly contrasting rocky headlands, the Spaniard's infectious welcoming sense of fun and "fiesta".
We think that you will have a wonderful time at our villa and Moraira as a town has everything on hand to keep your family occupied, it's great location, clean beaches, fishing harbour, yatch marina, shops, main market once a week. on a Friday morning, and a local market in the town square, fish market at the harbour where fishing boats still land their catch, most evenings, supermarkets, close to you, restaurants as well, old town narrow lanes, with shops, newer promenade water fountain walkways palm tree lined, everything there banks internet cafes, go-karting even.
The Moraira area
Moraira is located on the coast of the Costa Blance approximately mid-way between Alicante and Valencia, and just a short distance from an interchange onto the A.7 motorway. The town, which dates back to Moorish times, was originally a small fishing village and the central area still retains much of the original charm, character and atmosphere of those olden days.
Gently rising around the village centre a range of hills, covered with pine woods and vineyards, offer views to the sea with the occasional glimpse of white-walled villas amid the greenery. It is here that some of the most sought-after properties in Spain are to be found.
The town hall has very carefully controlled development, so that there are no high-rise or hotel blocks to spoil the magnificent views. The development is almost wholly of detached villas - with no "holiday hotel package'" accommodation - which helps determine the type of holidaymaker found in the resort, mainly couples and families.
The central town beach is reasonably large, and safe for children as it slopes quite gently. There is another beach at El Portet which is more closely bounded by headlands, giving the cove a dramatic "feel" and a splendid vista. It has very soft sand and also shelves gently.
There is a wide selection of local shops and restaurants in the centre of Moraira with fresh fish available in the morning fish market as the town still operates a fishing fleet alongside its new yacht marina, and an open-air market each Friday, as well as three or four supermarkets, a lively selection of bars and discos out of town for late-night entertainment. The villa is located close to restaurants approx 300metres and the shops to town are approx one Km.
Golf and other features.
We are ideally placed for golf - the nearest, Jávea GC is less than 10 minutes away. A 9-hole course, more difficult than it looks, has superb views of Montgó dominating Jávea (Green fees approx. Euros 65). Towards Denia (c.15 minutes) is La Sella GC, a beautiful 18-hole course. Further afield (c.35 minutes) new course at Oliva (18-holes, designed by Ballesteros) & south of Valencia, the famous 18-hole championship links course at El Saler.
Other features: The theme park Terra Mitica is within easy motoring distance (a short hop down AP7 motorway) as are the excellent Aqualandia (swim-park; website available on request) and MundoMar (dolphins) outside Benidorm. The fabulous new Science & Oceanographic (5000 different fish) parks at Valencia make a spectacular day's outing in this beautiful city.
