The apartment is situated in a very convenient pedestrianised precinct, and is within easy walking distance of everything that the lovely town of Moraira has to offer - the sandy beach, the elegant promenade, and the stunning Marina.
Step out of the door at street level and straight into any number of first class restaurants & bars offering all kinds of international cuisines, as well as traditional Spanish, which will suit all tastes & budgets.
A supermarket, bank, and many interesting and trendy shops are no more than a few minutes walk. Boat trips along the coast & a variety of water sports (e.g. scuba diving, snorkelling, and jet-skis) are readily available.
Free WI-FI is available in many bars & cafes in the town. Check your emails whilst enjoying breakfast or a drink in the sun!
In the evenings, take a stroll around the pretty, narrow streets and soak up the relaxed village atmosphere, have a delightful meal in one of the many restaurants, or simply watch the world go by from the privacy of your terrace.
The apartment offers a complete holiday experience, as a car is not necessary to enjoy everything that the up-market town of Moraira has to offer, and its elevated position also provides perfect tranquility. SPACIOUS LIVING/DINING ROOM: Comfortable sofa, dining area, satellite TV (all major UK channels, and if you bring your Sky card you will get the same package that you receive in the UK)), DVD player, CD player, 2 ceiling fans, floor to ceiling windows, and double doors opening onto the outside dining terrace. Mosquito screens to all windows & doors.
KITCHEN: Open plan to the living/dining room, it is nicely fitted, and there is a small utility area to the side which contains a washing machine.

The living/dining room opens onto a small private terrace that has a table & chairs for 4. Perfect for al-fresco dining or a quiet drink whilst watching the world go by below. The terrace has interesting street views with distant hillside views beyond.
There are 2 sun loungers & a parasol available for use by guests on the beach.
The apartment is situated in a pedestrian area on the 3rd floor, with a secured main entrance and lift access.
FREE 24 hour parking is available close by (3 mins walk), and it is possible to drop off passengers and luggage near to the apartment building.
Welcome Packs are available on request.

Arrival time is any time after 4pm, and please vacate by 10am on departure day.

The Valenciana region
PLACES TO VISIT:
BENIDORM: (approx. 45 mins drive): Major tourist resort, very commercial, lots of shops, the best beaches in Europe, and unrivaled nightlife. TERRA MITICA THEME PARK, TERRA NATURA WILDLIFE PARK, AQUALANDIA WATER PARK, & MUNDOMAR (dolphin & sea lion shows) are all located here. Great fun for all ages! Also BENIDORM PALACE for a good meal, flamenco cabaret, & dancing.
CALPE (20 mins drive): Rock of Ifach - a bird/wildlife sanctuary - & Las Salinas Salt Lakes - where pink flamingos congregate. There is also an interesting port area that has some fantastic fish restaurants.
ALTEA (30 mins drive): A coastal town with its own fishing fleet & dating back to 1562. Old town is very quaint & has many good restaurants.
VALENCIA (1 hour's drive north): Spain's 3rd largest city & thought to be more than 2000 years old, and a former Moorish capital. Sights include the Cathedral, the Silk Exchange, Ceramic Museum, & numerous art galleries. Sophisticated shops & magnificent covered food market. Don't miss the futuristic Science & Arts Museum.
JALON VALLEY (30 mins drive inland): Fabulous scenery & unspoiled Spanish villages. Here you can see how rural life in Spain has remained unchanged for centuries. Famed for its wine production. From the vantage point of Coll de Rates, it's possible to see the whole valley and, on a clear day, the island of Ibiza.
GUADALEST: A mountain village 25kms inland from Benidorm - the 2nd most photographed place in Spain! The views from here are stunning. Built by the Moors to defend themselves from invasion, it is entered by going through a hole in the cliff face.
FONTS D'ALGAR: Situated on the way back from Guadalest - cascading waterfalls & fresh water pools where you can have a welcome swim after a hot day!
AMENITIES: The apartment is situated 2 mins walk from sea front in the centre of Moraira, and all amenities are within a very short walk - the large, sandy beach, supermarkets, shops, banks, and a huge choice of restaurants and bars offering all kinds of international cuisine to suit all tastes and budgets. There are also many rural restaurants to try within easy driving distance offering set menus at low prices.
NEARBY BEACHES: The apartment is 5 minutes stroll from the main beach at Moraira - a wide, sandy beach in a sweeping crescent, and has parasols and sunbeds for hire. El Portet (a sandy, picturesque bay with wonderful views) is 1.5km past the Marina, and well worth a visit. Both these beaches are safe for swimming and suitable for children. The beach at Cumbre del Sol, which is secluded & virtually undeveloped, is 10 mins drive. They all have toilets & restaurant facilities. Javea is 15 mins drive, has large, sandy beaches & a huge choice of restaurants. In addition, there are many unspoiled coves and viewpoints to discover within easy driving distance.
ACTIVITIES: There are an abundance of activities available locally including water sports, boat trips, golf, tennis, cycle hire, horse riding, fishing, and go-karting.
GOLF: Javea Golf Club is 15 minutes drive, and there are also golf courses between Moraira and Calpe (10 mins drive) and Denia (20 mins drive).
MORAIRA: Formerly a small fishing village - now an up-market town with pretty, narrow streets and retaining a village atmosphere. Beautiful beach, excellent selection of bars & restaurants, & a lively shopping area, including a market on Friday mornings. On summer evenings, a small craft market is held in the town, and there is often live, background music in the main square - lovely to listen to whilst you are eating al-fresco at one of the restaurants that surround the square. The Marina is another attraction - beautiful yachts coming & going, with a fabulous open-air cocktail bar above Club Nautico. There are also a number of nightclubs/disco bars on the outskirts of town. In mid-June, the town stages its annual "Moors & Christians" fiesta which is spectacular. It includes a "battle" around the castle, and culminates in a grand parade with fantastic costumes and floats. Not to be missed!
JAVEA (15 mins drive): A fascinating mix of old & new. The town is split into 3 areas: The Arenal - which has a huge, crescent-shaped sandy beach, and many restaurants & late-night bars along the promenade, the sophisticated Port area with its sea-front restaurants, and the un-spoilt Old Town which is great fun to explore.
BENITACHELL & TEULADA (both 10 mins drive): Small, typical Spanish villages with narrow streets full of pretty houses. Both hold street markets on Wednesday mornings - great for fresh produce at very good prices. These villages are totally "untouristy" and the ideal place for mixing with the locals in their many cafes and bars.
DENIA (25 mins drive): Historic major town, a castle proudly surveying the port, and good beaches. You can drive to Denia over the Montgo (Sleeping Elephant) mountain, which is a national park.

"Very Comfortable Stay"
We had a very comfortable stay in the apartment and it was great that it was right in the pedestrianised part of the town centre. We just had to walk out of the front door and we were close to everyt… More
Regarding the lift breakdown - having spoken to the representative, he informed the renter that there was no need for him to report the matter to the management company as there were many permanent residents in the block who would have already done so. This, indeed, proved to be the case, as the lift was repaired on the next working day. We were unaware that the bath was slippery as this had not been reported before. However, a shower mat will now be provided.
