The Costa Blanca / Valencia / Alicante Province region
The Costa Blanca is renowned for being a shoppers paradise offering everything from fashionable clothes, leather goods, perfumes and wines as well as an abundance of fresh fruit, fish and vegetables.
Numerous restaurants, some with live entertainment, offer local, national and international cuisine. A trip through the valleys and up into the mountains among the pine forests and the almond and citrus groves provides some spectacular scenery, and there are always places to stop for a drink and a meal.
Benidorm is a short drive away and offers excellent shopping and nightlife plus the new Terra Mitica Disney style theme park. Coach excursions are available to these and all the other popular attractions.
Moraira area
Moraira is a small and pretty resort half way between Alicante and Valencia. The quaint old Spanish fishing village is only fifteen minutes walk from the villa. A fish market is held daily with Friday being the principal market day where you can buy souvenirs, fresh fruit and vegetables.
The village has many shops, bars and restaurants. This area boasts 'the best all year round climate in Europe' according to the World Health Organisation and has 320 days of sunshine a year.
How to get there
Em Nau is in Moraira, one of the most attractive seaside towns on the Costa Blanca. It is just 12km from the motorway junction and less than a mile to the beach, shops and restaurants of this small but complete town. The journey from Alicante airport is 95km, nearly all motorway, and takes just over an hour. From Valencia airport it is 135 km and will take 85 minutes, again nearly all motorway.
Flights to Alicante are available from a number of airlines including AerLingus, BMI Baby, British Airways, Easyjet, First Choice, FlyBe, FlyGlobespan, Jet 2, Monarch, Ryanair, and Thomsonfly which operate from a large number of UK Airports.
There are now twelve UK Airports that offer regular, scheduled flights to Valencia from five different Airlines: British Airways/ Iberia, Easyjet, Jet2, Thomsonfly and Ryanair.
