Moraira beach is located in 10 min drive from the villa, there you can play beach volley, there is also nice playground for children on Moraira beach. Benitachell beautiful bay is located in 3 km away from the property.

Costa Blanca is a famous spanish resort thanks to it´s stable over year round mild climate. Moraira is a precious little touristic town located between Javea and Benissa.

Moraira is a small touristic town on the Costa Blanca. One of the most beautiful nestling between the mountains and the sea. It is located between Alicante 80 km. to its south and Valencia 108 km. to its north. Barcelona is at 438 km. to the north from Moraira. It is one of last virgin resorts of the Costa Blanca.


9500 permanent population increases to 30,000 during the summer tourist season. Many expats from Northern Europe like living here permanently because of its mild Mediterranean climate with average annual temperature of 18 degrees. This area is also very popular within retirees. The beaches of Moraira , awarded the Blue Flag of the European Community, known for its careful cleaning, excellent water and its diverse and comfortable services. Moraira surprises visitors and motivates them to an adventure discovery of the 8 km coast offered by the city. We started the journey from Cap d'Or, which protects the Playa del Portet, with it´s soft sand and crystalline waters. Small shell-shaped beach is a magnificent place to take a bath or for diving. Summer services: first help, surveillance, WC. Heading towards Moraira town we can see Cala Moraira Portichol, very appropriate for diving and fishing. At the very foot of Moraira ´s Castle the central beach of the town, l'Ampolla, is located, it is the most popular urban beache. Continuing along the sea coast we come to playa "I Platgetes", two small coves with clear water soft sand and rocky area, it also has a nice walk-viewpoint. Walking distance from there against the backdrop stands Cala Andragó. The rocks and depth of its waters are perfect for diving and fishing. Different scenarios and possibilities is offered to you by the beauty of our Mediterranean Sea. After visiting the coastline we can walk along the most typical and picturesque streets of Moraira. We visit the Church of Our Lady of the Forsaken, dated by X1X century. The Tower of Cap d'Or, the XV1 century, is situated on the highest point of Cap d´Or. On the south-eastern side of Cap d'Or you find the “Cova de la Cendra”, of Upper Paleolithic archaeological period. Moraira´s Castle, XV111 century, is an impressive building overlooking the sea and the beach of l'Ampolla , it did its defensive job until the middle of X1X century. The continuous pirate attacks forced to raise various defensive buildings to protect the coasts. Good restaurants are a particular feature of the town. In the small streets of Moraira you can enjoy the Mediterranean cuisine. The "rice senyoret", cooked octopus, fish soup, fish stew, Paella. Seafood, prawns, lobsters and mussels as well as exquisite limpets and sea urchins. Meats, legumes and vegetables are the basis for several inspiring dishes such as rice called “Rice in the oven”. Moraira's coastline is over 2000 hectares of farmland and 1000 acres of vineyards to grow grapes called Muscatel Romano for making sweet liqueur named “Moscatel”, nice to accompany famous local desserts. Join our joy and fiestas. Moraira has an Extensive calendar of festivals where you can live and enjoy their traditions. Fiesta patronal Moraira celebrates on the 14th of july. The famous festival called Moors and Christians in honor of Blessed Christ, Moraira celebrates every year in the middle of June. It has always been the fishmen village of the Costa Blanca with its fresh fish market held every Thursday in the port of Moraira. Next to the fishing port is the Club Nautico Moraira, which is considered one of the best marinas in Valencia. History of the Costa Blanca goes back to antiquity. Settlement in Moraira began in the Upper Palaeolithic from 15,000 to 20,000 before Crist. Obgects found in the cave of Cap d´Or revealed that there has been human presence in for thousands of years. The Iberians later came to the area and some signes of their culture have been found in Cap d'Or. We can tell you much more about Moraira, but to cut the story short, Moraira is a beautiful place for good vacations.
