The Costa Blanca on the south-east coast of Spain is according to the Michelin Guide "an area of gleaming sands under luminous skies". It extends for over 300 kilometres and is one of the most beautiful areas of the entire Iberian peninsular.
In the centre of this coastline is Alicante, an historic city from pre-Roman times, which is a main commercial centre with an international airport and important sea port for the Balearic Islands and other parts of the Mediterranean.
On the northern Costa Blanca mountains provide a natural shield from the cool winds of the Meseta. The climate is ideal with mild winters, an early spring, hot summers and a late autumn.
The Moraira / Villotel area
Moraira has several safe, sandy beaches with Blue Flag status within easy driving distance of the villa as well as picturesque rocky coves. There are numerous restaurants and shops/boutiques in the town, plus many supermarkets with everything you need and a vibrant local market on Fridays. Throughout the year there are several fiestas, the most notable being the famous Moors & Christians Fiesta in June with colourful street parades, a battle re-enactment and a spectacular firework display.
A 10-15 min walk from Moraira brings you into the breathtaking bay of El Portet a relaxing spot with bars and restaurants, where children can play safely on the sandy beach and in the shallow waters

Have stayed at this villa before and once again it fitted the bill for what we required. Large enough for the extended family, including two children, but with space to allow those who needed it some quiet time. Designed as two apartments, with interlinking stairs inside this suited our needs totally. Few odd little items need updating but for the price this villa offered value for money. Lovely pool which can be locked to keep children out when not supervised, large enough outside eating area for quite a lot of people & four good sized bedrooms. Very near to the very large pool on the site if needed and not far from Moraira by car. |
