Immaculate 1st floor 2 bedroom apartment (sleeps 4 + 1 infant on request) located in Pueblo de la Paz on the exclusive residential area of Cumbre del Sol - just 10 mins drive from the up-market seaside town of Moraira with its many restaurants, shops and beaches, and 2 minutes from the picturesque, secluded beach on Cumbre del Sol which is used mainly by residents.
The property overlooks a spectacular, free-form pool surrounded by spacious, landscaped sun-bathing terraces for exclusive use by the residents/guests of the Pueblo de la Paz community . It also has a popular bar/cafe which has occasional live entertainment in the summer, and free WI-FI internet access. The pool is ideal for children with gently sloping access and a baby area. Tennis courts are 2 mins walk.
Also within walking distance are further restaurants & bars (one with its own swimming pool), a well-stocked supermarket & a pharmacy. The beach on Cumbre del Sol has a beach bar and a restaurant - which is open until late in the evening in the summer months.
The apartment is immaculately maintained and tastefully furnished. The living/dining area opens onto a private terrace which has a BBQ, and is perfect for al-fresco dining. In addition, the apartment has its own large private roof terrace with sunbeds and a table & chairs for dining whilst overlooking the fabulous pool area. There are also some sea views from the roof terrace.
The property is ideal for couples and families seeking a beautiful and peaceful setting with good on-site facilities, and near to the beach and all amenities.
We are happy to accept bookings for part-weeks (subject to a minimum of 7 days), the extra days being charged pro-rata, and arrival/departure days are flexible.

The living/dining room has comfortable seating, a dining table & chairs, large screen satellite TV (English channels including Sky Sports 1 & 2), a DVD player, and a CD player.
There is an air conditioning unit and a gas heater for cooler days.
There are two bedrooms - 1 double and and 1 with twin beds - both beautifully fitted with plenty of storage space. The master bedroom has lovely views over the pool. Both bedrooms have cool-air fans and electric wall heaters.
A safe is provided in the double bedroom for your use.
Cot can be provided to accommodate an infant on request.
The well equipped kitchen is open plan with integrated appliances, and has a coffee machine in addition to the equipment listed. A utility cupboard houses the washing machine. There is also a clothes airer for drying washing.
Bathroom is fully tiled with a shower over the bath, basin & WC.

The dining terrace has a BBQ and a table & chairs (seats 4), and the roof terrace has a table & chairs for 4, a parasol, and two sunbeds. The roof terrace has spectacular views over the pool area, and views to the sea.
The huge, free-form pool is directly opposite, and free WI-FI internet access and sun-beds are available at the pool bar/restaurant. There are lifeguards at the pool during the summer months.
The apartment is situated on a quiet road, and there is parking right outside the property.

The Valenciana region
PLACES TO VISIT:
BENIDORM: (approx. 45 mins drive): Major tourist resort, very commercial, lots of shops, the best beaches in Europe, and unrivaled nightlife. TERRA MITICA THEME PARK, TERRA NATURA WILDLIFE PARK, AQUALANDIA WATER PARK, & MUNDOMAR (dolphin & sea lion shows) are all located here. Great fun for all ages! Also BENIDORM PALACE for a good meal, flamenco cabaret, & dancing.
CALPE (25 mins drive): Rock of Ifach - a bird/wildlife sanctuary - & Las Salinas Salt Lakes - where pink flamingos congregate. There is also an interesting port area that has some fantastic fish restaurants.
ALTEA (30 mins drive): A coastal town with its own fishing fleet & dating back to 1562. Old town is very quaint & has many good restaurants.
VALENCIA (1 hour's drive north): Spain's 3rd largest city & thought to be more than 2000 years old, and a former Moorish capital. Sights include the Cathedral, the Silk Exchange, Ceramic Museum, & numerous art galleries. Sophisticated shops & magnificent covered food market. Don't miss the futuristic Science & Arts Museum.
JALON VALLEY (30 mins drive inland): Fabulous scenery & unspoiled Spanish villages. Here you can see how rural life in Spain has remained unchanged for centuries. Famed for its wine production. From the vantage point of Coll de Rates, it's possible to see the whole valley and, on a clear day, the island of Ibiza.
GUADALEST: A mountain village 25kms inland from Benidorm - the 2nd most photographed place in Spain! The views from here are stunning. Built by the Moors to defend themselves from invasion, it is entered by going through a hole in the cliff face. Fonts D'algar: Situated on the way back from Guadalest - cascading waterfalls & fresh water pools where you can have a welcome swim after a hot day!
AMENITIES: Within a few minutes walk, there are restaurants/bars (one with its own swimming pool), and a well-stocked supermarket and pharmacy. There is a huge choice of restaurants within 10 minutes drive offering all kinds of international cuisine, and there are also many rural restaurants to try within easy distance offering set menus at low prices.
NEARBY BEACHES: The property is a few minutes drive from the beautiful, secluded beach at Cumbre del Sol which has a restaurant, beach bar, sunbeds for hire, and toilet facilities. The beach at Moraira (wide, sandy beach), and El Portet (a sandy, picturesque bay with wonderful views) are 10 mins drive. Both have restaurants/toilet facilities and are particularly suitable for children. Javea is 15 mins drive, and has large, sandy beaches & a huge choice of restaurants. In addition, there are many unspoiled coves and viewpoints to discover within easy driving distance.
ACTIVITIES: There are an abundance of activities available locally including water sports, boat trips, golf, tennis, cycle hire, horse riding, fishing, and go-karting.
GOLF: Javea Golf Club is just a few minutes drive, and there are also golf courses between Moraira and Calpe (10 mins drive) and Denia (20 mins drive).
LOCAL PLACES TO VISIT: MORAIRA (10 mins drive): Formerly a small fishing village - now an up-market town retaining a village atmosphere. Beautiful beach, excellent selection of bars & restaurants, & lively shopping area, including a market on Friday mornings. On summer evenings, a small craft market is held in the town, and there is often live music in the main square - lovely to listen to whilst you are eating al-fresco at one of the restaurants that surround the square. In mid-June, the town stages its annual "Moors & Christians" fiesta which is spectacular. It includes a "battle" around the castle, and culminates in a grand parade with fantastic costumes and floats. Not to be missed!
JAVEA (15 mins drive): A fascinating mix of old & new - lovely beach, huge choice of restaurants in the port area, and an un-spoilt old town which is fun to explore.
BENITACHELL & TEULADA (both 10 mins drive): Small typical Spanish towns with narrow streets full of pretty houses. Both have a street market on Wednesday mornings.
DENIA (25 mins drive): Historic major town, a castle proudly surveying the port., and good beaches. You can drive to Denia over the Montgo (Sleeping Elephant) mountain, which is a national park.

"Great Apartment in good location"
The apartment was spotless, well equipped and very reasonably priced - the only thing i missed was a dishwasher, but I accept I'm being picky. The shared pool was the biggest I've ever seen … More

"A perfect place for relaxation and recuperation"
Thank you so much for the use of this fantastic apartment.
When we booked we had missed the section about the roof terrace, which really made our holiday, we sat up there every evening, using the BBQ, and just watching the world go by.
With two teenagers who following exams, just wanted to chill, swim and lay in the sun it was perfect. We went out every other day but felt happy to stay on site, either on the terrace or by the huge swimming pool and recharge. The villa was well equipped and was more a relaxed base than a posh fancy place to stay. If you have young kids you might want to find a ground floor appartment, as the step were fairly steep, but easily managed. The local supermarket was fine and the pharmacy well stocked and knowledgeable!!!!! The bar by the pool was very friendly, and quite quite, but we were earlyish in the season. My only suggestion for improvement, a microwave and more teatowels!

"Fantastic apartment in beautiful area of Spain"
We have stayed in moraira on many occasions in villas but this year were keen to have a shared pool so that our children could socialise, without going to a hotel where we would have to fight for sun loungers! This was a fantastic compromise. The shared pool is very large, clean and manned by ,ifeguards so you can relax while the kids play. The area of cumbre de sol is absolutely beautiful. You will need a car as most restaurants and bars are driving distance but it is well worth it. The apartment was lovely and clean and well equipped with everything you could need. A real gem we are so pleased to have found
