Home description
This lovely well equipped villa benefits from a beautiful private garden and a roof terrace with stunning views of the surrounding mountains and sea. Outside is furnished with various tables and chairs on different levels to enable you to dine 'al fresco'. It has two double bedrooms, one en suite shower room and one twin bedroom with a separate bathroom. A new fully fitted kitchen has been completed in 2008, along with a new 37" flat screen television in the living area.
The detached villa is situated on a small, select and quiet urbanisation. It is located just fifteen minutes walk from the two sandy beaches and many restaurants of the small bustling town of Moraira. This is part of Spains National Park, therefore it is not spoiled with too much development. However, it has interesting shops, local markets, local sports including golf, water-skiing, windsurfing, jetskiing, karting and snorkeling. There is also a range of bars and you are spoilt for choice with restaurants. Nearby towns and attractions include Benidorm with its theme parks, water park and zoo, Calpe, Javea, Denia, the cliff-top village of Guadalest and the beautiful El Algar waterfalls.

The Costa Blanca / Valencia / Alicante Province region
The property is located within a three minute drive or ten minute walk to the nearest shops, beaches and restaurants. It is within a five minute drive of Moraira town centre and the family friendly beaches of Moraira and El Portet. Benidorm is a forty minute drive away with a large water park, theme park and many other attractions. The villa is within easy reach of the pretty mountain villages within the Jalon valley for wine tasting, Calpe with its famous rock (which looks daunting to climb but has stunning views from the top), and many other coastal coves and villages which are worth exploring.
Moraira is ideally situated between the coast with both sandy beaches and rocky coves, and the mountains of the Marina Alta. The climate is ideal both for holidays and all-year-round living. The World Health Organisation has identified the northern Costa Blanca as having as near to an ideal climate as possible, being neither overwhelmingly hot in summer nor unpleasently cold in winter.
Moraira is the municipality of Teulada, situated about six miles inland. In earlier times the population were situated away from the coasts to offer some protection from marauding pirates and invaders - Romans, Moors, Berbers etc. Moraira developed as the fishing port for Teulada, and both the lookout tower (Torre-vigia) on Cap d'Or overlooking Moraira's El Portet beach, and the castle are reminders of the past.
In more recent times this quiet and peaceful fishing port has become a busy yet pleasent resort, which can perhaps best be summerised by what it doesn't have. There are no high-rises, no large hotels, no package tours and no large and noisy nightclubs. It is simply a small yet bustling town with many shops, boutiques, restaurants and bars, surrounded by whitewashed villas nestling on the tree-covered hillsides. It has a large and multi-national resident population and therefore remains lively throughout the year. Its popularity can be judged by the very large number of visitors who return year after year.
Moraira / Cometa area
Moraira is a modern town on the Costa Blanca which has retained its Spanish charm and friendly atmosphere. It has sandy beaches, a marina and a good choice of shops, supermarkets and you will be spoilt for choice with excellent restaurants to suit every budget. Every Friday there is a street market, well worth a visit where local products can be purchased. Also there are many leisure activities to choose from, i.e. karting, scuba diving, jet skiing, tennis, horse riding, golf and some excellent local rambles for keen walkers.
Moraira has four beaches, each very different in character. The beach of El Portet is the northernmost of these, being situated in a sheltered shell-shaped bay. It has clear water and a gently sloping seabed, being ideal and safe for swimming. The town beach or L'Ampolla, is a large sandy beach with a play area and restaurants. The three main beaches are all European Blue Flagged, and zoned and lifeguarded so that various activities can be enjoyed safely. Plagetes is quieter and partly sand/partly rock; and L A'ndrago is a boulder beach, ideal for snorkelling. Both to the north and south of Moraira there are many secluded bays and coves well worth exploring. Moraira also has a popular marina, which is home or host to a myriad of yachts of all shapes and sizes. The marina is also well worth a visit for those with children, who will enjoy feeding bread to the numerous fish.
This region of Spain is famous for its colourful festivals / fiestas. These take place throughout the year, but probably the most well known is the Moros Y Christinos held in July, celebrating the reconquest by the Christians of Muslim-ruled Spain.
GOLFING ACTIVITIES Within 10 minutes drive of the villa is Javea Golf Club situated between Moraira and Javea and is open all year round, the course is a 9 hole, par 72 and 3,035 metres. The course is easy to play and relatively flat. Other facilities include: driving range, putting green, heated swimming pool, club bar and restaurant. La Sella Golf Club is 20 minutes drive inland near the village of Jesus Pobre. The course has 18 holes, par 72 and is 6,029 metres. The course although flat has many trees and water obstacles. This is a private members club open to the public. Facilities include: driving range, putting green, motorised trolleys, club bar, lounge bar, restaurant, swimming pool. Both Javea and La Sella clubs have tennis and squash courts.
