The Costa Blanca / Valencia / Alicante Province region
The Costa Blanca or "White coast" is beautifully rugged and in many places unspoilt. It has been voted one of the healthiest places to live by the World Health Organisation due to it's climate and air quality.
There are many places of interest to visit - the Jalon valley which is just a few kilomeres inland and famous for it's wine making and the coastal resorts of Moraira, Javea, Calpe and Altea and for the kids - Benidorm with it's water and fun parks.
However, there are several places to explore on the Cumbre del Sol itself with areas of National Parks with horse-riding facilities and walking routes.
There are several golf courses within a 15-30 minute drive. There are two Information kiosks on the Cumbre for further assistance.
Moraira / Benitachell/Cumbre del Sol area
Moraira is an up-market coastal town, originally a picturesque fishing village, which now boasts several up-market restaurants, shops and a marina.
There are several fish restaurants along the front and a large sandy beach area. There are several fiesta's held in Moraira throughout the year - The Moors & Christians probably being the most spectacular and always held around the second week in June.
There are several street markets in the area - on varying days of the week - the one in Moraira being held every Friday. During the summer months there is an evening craft market held near the square in Moraira which is always buzzing and alive.
How to get there
Beautiful, newly built 2-bed apartment on the idyllic Cumbre del Sol situated within 1 hr 15min drive of Alicante airport or 1hr 30min from Valencia with several budget airlines flying into both airports.
Ryanair, Easyjet, Monarch, BMI baby and Airberlin to name but a few.
Several car-hire companies situated at both airports which can be pre-booked or on arrival with no problems.
Car-hire is essential when staying on the Cumbre del Sol ,as although there is a commercial centre within walking distance of the Montecala complex, the nearest supermarket is a 5-10min drive away.
From both airports, it is an easy drive using the AP7 toll motorway.

In the summer months the sun is on the apartment terrace from mid-day until after 19.00. There are adequate comfortable facilities on the terrace for al fresco dining and sunbathing. There is a small barbecue.
