Spacious & immaculate, TWO self-contained, south-facing apartments (3 bedrooms & 2 bedrooms), AVAILABLE TO RENT SEPARATELY OR TOGETHER, each with its own private sun terrace, wi-fi, shared pool, & lovely countryside views, situated in a peaceful location within walking distance of the village, and only a few mins drive from 3 superb beaches, and the lovely seaside towns of Moraira & Javea.
Apartments Abiar is a beautiful south-facing villa split into TWO self-contained units.
EACH APARTMENT CAN BE RENTED INDIVIDUALLY OR AS ONE PROPERTY.
The GROUND FLOOR APARTMENT sleeps up to 7 people (+ an infant on request), and has 2 twin bedrooms, 1 single bedroom, and a double sofa bed in the living/dining room sleeping a further 2 people. There is a large open-plan kitchen, plus a walk-in wet room (suitable for people with restricted mobility).
The UPPER APARTMENT sleeps up to 6 people (+ an infant on request), and has 2 twin bedrooms, and a double sofa-bed in the living/dining room sleeping a further 2 people. The master bedroom has an en-suite bathroom, and there is a further separate shower room, plus a separate spacious kitchen.
The apartments have individual, private sun terraces, wi-fi internet access, use of the adjacent community pool, and are uniquely situated on the outskirts of the traditional Spanish village of Benitachell. The property has wonderful open views over countryside, and yet it's only a few mins drive to the seaside towns of Moraira, Javea, and 3 superb beaches.
The apartments offer the best of both worlds - giving visitors the experience and feeling of being in "real" Spain rather than a tourist resort - whilst being within a short distance of everything a holidaymaker could desire.
Set in the small and exclusive urbanisation of Les Fonts, which nestles on the side of a valley surrounded by vineyards, it is not unusual to see the farmers tending their fields. From the terraces you can also see the village and its picturesque, blue-domed church (illuminated at night) and occasionally hear the sound of its distant bells.
There are very few holiday rentals properties here - most are owner-occupied all year round and wish to keep this lovely location to themselves!
There are some lovely scenic walks close by, and the village itself is about 20 mins walk and has a number of bars and restaurants. There is also a countryside restaurant/bar within 10 mins walk.
The community pool is adjacent, also has lovely views, and is never crowded - even in high season.
There is plenty to see in the area for adults and children alike, and a huge choice of local restaurants to suit all tastes and pockets.
Apartments Abiar will suit couples, families, and groups of friends seeking a peaceful and beautiful countryside setting, but close to the beach and all amenities.
We are happy to accept bookings for part-weeks (subject to a minimum of 7 days), the extra days being charged pro-rata, and arrival/departure days are flexible.
SMOKING is not permitted inside the apartments, but allowed on the terraces.

The apartments are immaculately maintained and tastefully decorated, and wi-fi internet access is available in both.
UPPER APARTMENT (Sleeps up to 6):
LIVING/DINING ROOM: Comfortable and spacious, and opens onto the covered terrace for al-fresco dining. There is satellite TV (extra UK channels possible if you bring your Sky Card), DVD, CD player, wi-fi internet access, and 2 ceiling fans. There is lounge seating for 4, and dining seating for 6. There is also a sofa bed which accommodates 2 people, and a portable gas heater for cooler days.
SPACIOUS KITCHEN: The kitchen is equipped with oven & hob, fridge/freezer, a dishwasher and a microwave.
At the rear of the kitchen is a courtyard terrace and a covered utility area housing a washing machine.
MASTER BEDROOM: Two single beds, built-in wardrobes, electric radiator, and ceiling fan.
EN-SUITE BATHROOM TO MASTER BEDROOM has a full bath with shower over, WC, basin & bidet.
BEDROOM 2: Two single beds, built-in wardrobes, electric radiator, and free-standing fan
FAMILY SHOWER ROOM: With corner shower, basin & WC.
GROUND FLOOR APARTMENT (Sleeps up to 7):
Large, open plan LIVING/DINING ROOM which opens onto the spacious ground floor terrace, and has a sofa bed which sleeps 2 people. There is satellite TV (extra UK channels possible if you bring your Sky Card), DVD, CD player, wi-fi access, lounge seating for 5 & dining seating for 4, and a spacious KITCHEN/BREAKFAST area with a further dining table for 4. The kitchen is equipped with oven & hob, fridge/freezer, a microwave, and a washing machine.
TWO TWIN BEDROOMS with 2 single beds in each, wardrobes, and a further small SINGLE BEDROOM with 1 single bed.
WET ROOM containing a walk-in shower, WC & basin.
There are 2 free-standing fans and 2 small fans, and an electric radiator for cooler days.
Cot can be provided (in either/both apartments) to accommodate an infant on request.

UPPER APARTMENT: The living/dining area opens onto a terrace with table & chairs and 2 sun loungers - perfect for al-fresco dining whilst enjoying the beautiful views. An external staircase from the terrace provides access to ground level.
GROUND FLOOR APARTMENT: The living/dining/kitchen area opens onto a large terrace area complete with table and chairs for outside dining, and bench seating.
The community pool is adjacent, and for exclusive use by residents & guests of the small community of Vista Abiar. It is peaceful and never crowded, even in high season, and there are plenty of sunbeds available around the pool.
There is safe parking in the quiet lane immediately outside the property.

The Costa Blanca / Valencia / Alicante Province region


PLACES TO VISIT:
BENIDORM (approx. 45 mins drive): Major tourist resort, very commercial, lots of shops, the best beaches in Europe, and unrivalled nightlife.
TERRA MITICA THEME PARK, TERRA NATURA WILDLIFE PARK, AQUALANDIA WATER PARK, & MUNDOMAR (dolphin & sea lion shows) are all located here. Great fun for all ages!
Also BENIDORM PALACE for a good meal, flamenco cabaret, & dancing.
VERGEL SAFARI PARK - hundreds of wild animals.
CALPE (25 mins drive): Rock of Ifach - a bird/wildlife sanctuary, and Las Salinas Salt Lakes - where pink flamingos congregate. There is also an interesting port area that has some fantastic fish restaurants.
ALTEA (30 mins drive): A coastal town with its own fishing fleet & dating back to 1562. Old town is very quaint & has many good restaurants.
VALENCIA (1 hour's drive north): Spain's 3rd largest city & thought to be more than 2000 years old, and a former Moorish capital. Sights include the Cathedral, the Silk Exchange, Ceramic Museum, & numerous art galleries. Sophisticated shops & magnificent covered food market. Don't miss the futuristic Arts & Science Museum.
JALON VALLEY (30 mins drive inland): Fabulous scenery & unspoilt Spanish villages. Here you can see how rural life in Spain has remained unchanged for centuries. Famed for its wine production. From the vantage point of Coll de Rates, it's possible to see the whole valley and, on a clear day, the island of Ibiza.
GUADALEST: A mountain village 25kms inland from Benidorm - the 2nd most photographed place in Spain! The views from here are stunning. Built by the Moors to defend themselves from invasion, it is entered by going through a hole in the cliff face.
FONTS D'ALGAR: Situated on the way back from Guadalest - cascading waterfalls & fresh water pools where you can have a welcome swim after a hot day!
The Moraira / Benitachell area
BENITACHELL is 20 minutes pretty walk from the apartment (or a few minutes drive), and has an abundance of traditional Spanish bars/restaurants, plus an Italian & Chinese restaurant. Within 10 minutes walk is another countryside restaurant/bar. The village is full of quaint, narrow streets, and there is a street market on Wednesday mornings - great for fresh produce. There are regular fiestas held througout the summer months - and the entire village joins in the celebrations - brass bands, colourful parades, fireworks, and street parties that continue into the night. There are a number of individual shops (bakers, butcher, fresh fish shop, general provisions, small supermarket) and banks in the village, and 3 large supermarkets within 10 mins drive.
NEARBY BEACHES: The apartment is a few minutes drive from the beaches at Moraira (wide, sandy beach) & El Portet (a sandy, picturesque bay with wonderful views). Both of these beaches are suitable for children. The beach at Cumbre del Sol, which is secluded & virtually undeveloped, is 10 mins drive. They all have toilets & restaurant facilities. Javea is also 10 mins drive, has large, sandy beaches & a huge choice of restaurants. In addition, there are many unspoilt coves & viewpoints to discover within easy driving distance.
LOCAL PLACES TO VISIT: MORAIRA (10 mins drive): Formerly a small fishing village - now an up-market town retaining a village atmosphere. Beautiful beach, excellent selection of bars & restaurants, & a lively shopping area, including a market on Friday mornings. On summer evenings, a small craft market is held in the town, and there is often live music in the main square - lovely to listen to whilst you are eating al-fresco at one of the restaurants which surround the square. In mid-June, the town stages its annual "Moors & Christians" fiesta which is spectacular. It includes a "battle" around the castle, and culminates in a grand parade with fantastic costumes & floats. Not to be missed!
JAVEA (10 mins drive): A fascinating mix of old & new - lovely beach, huge choice of restaurants in the port area, and an unspoilt old town which is fun to explore.
DENIA (25 mins drive): Historic major town, a castle proudly surveying the port, and good beaches. You can drive to Denia over the Montgo (Sleeping Elephant) mountain, which is a national park.

PRICES shown are for up to 2, 4 or 7 people and are inclusive of cleaning before & after your stay, water, gas, electricity, towels and bed linen with weekly change.
We are happy to accept bookings for part-weeks (subject to a minimum of 7 days), the extra days being charged pro-rata, and arrival/departure days are flexible.
25% of total cost is payable on booking (which must be paid in GB£), and the balance becomes due 8 weeks before departure. We can accept the balance payment in GBP or euros.
In addition, there is £150 (or euro equivalent) security deposit (payable with the balance), which is refunded within 14 days of your return home, provided no major breakages or losses have been incurred, and we are in receipt of the keys.
The total cost plus security deposit will be payable on bookings made within 8 weeks of departure.
Payments are accepted by bank transfer or cheque. PayPal also accepted but will incur extra charges.
