Casa Murillo is located in Pueblo Montecala on the exclusive residential area of Cumbre del Sol - just 10 mins drive from the up-market seaside town of Moraira with its many restaurants, shops and beaches, and only minutes from the picturesque, secluded beach on Cumbre del Sol which is used mainly by residents.
The apartment is air-conditioned, modern & beautifully furnished, immaculately maintained, and directly accessible from the access road. You can park your car right outside. The living/dining area opens onto a spacious, private sun terrace - perfect for al fresco dining whilst enjoying the panoramic mountain and valley views.
The location is ideal for touring the area, and the apartment/complex is suitable for couples seeking a relaxing holiday in beautiful surroundings, and for families seeking child-friendly facilities.
It would also suit older couples seeking a longer winter sun let, as the facilities are open all year round. (Please note: There are a number of steps down to the apartment from the road).
We are happy to accept bookings for part-weeks (subject to a minimum of 7 days), the extra days being charged pro-rata, and arrival/departure days are flexible.
SMOKING is not permitted inside the apartment, but allowed on the terrace.

LIVING/DINING AREA: Spacious and comfortable, the living area has a double sofa bed (with a separate pull-out sprung mattress) sleeping 2 people, and an air-conditioning unit., The flat-screen satellite TV receives all major UK channels plus Sky Sports, and French, German, Dutch & Spanish channels. There is also a DVD player. The table in the dining area seats 4. The living area has large patio doors which open directly onto the sun/dining terrace with its spectacular views.
KITCHEN: Open plan from the living/dining area, and equipped with everything you need for complete self-catering. There is also a utility cupboard in the kitchen which houses a washing machine.
MASTER BEDROOM: Very spacious with a King size bed, large wardrobe, air-con unit, and lovely mountain/countryside views.
BEDROOM 2: Single bed and bedside drawers.
BATHROOM: Fully tiled, with walk-in shower, WC, and handbasin.
The air conditioning in the apartment is hot/cold, making it ideally suited for lets in the cooler months.

Close to the property is a spectacular, free-form pool area which has two huge pools surrounded by extensive, landscaped sun-bathing terraces for exclusive use by the residents/guests of the Montecala community. It also has a popular bar/bistro (open all year round) which features regular live entertainment in the evenings. The pool area is ideal for children - both pools have a small baby/toddler section, and there is also a children's play area.
Accessed by sliding patio doors from the living area, the spacious, private sun terrace has the most amazing unspoilt mountain, valley, and countryside views as far as you can see.
The outside dining table has a parasol for shade, and is perfect for lengthy evening or lunchtime meals whilst enjoying the local wine, the views, and the peaceful surroundings.
The pool area has plenty of sunbeds available, a bar/restaurant open all year serving home-cooked meals/snacks until late, and also has regular live evening entertainment.
Although the apartment is close to the pool area, it is situated on a quiet road which is just far enough away not to be disturbed by any noise, and there is parking right outside the property.

The Costa Blanca / Valencia / Alicante Province region


CLIMATE: The area boasts over 300 sunny days per year, with mild temperatures in winter. It is not unusual to be able to celebrate Christmas Day on the beach. May to September are ideal months for those seeking hot sunshine. Spring and Autumn are sunny but cooler, but often hot enough for the beach, and the Winter months are mostly sunny and ideal for exploring.
PLACES TO VISIT:
BENIDORM: (approx. 45 mins drive): Major tourist resort, very commercial, lots of shops, the best beaches in Europe, and unrivaled nightlife. TERRA MITICA THEME PARK, TERRA NATURA WILDLIFE PARK, AQUALANDIA WATER PARK, & MUNDOMAR (dolphin & sea lion shows) are all located here. Great fun for all ages! Also BENIDORM PALACE for a good meal, flamenco cabaret, & dancing.
VERGEL SAFARI PARK - hundreds of wild animals.
CALPE (25 mins drive): Rock of Ifach - a bird/wildlife sanctuary - & Las Salinas Salt Lakes - where pink flamingos congregate. There is also an interesting port area that has some fantastic fish restaurants.
ALTEA (30 mins drive): A coastal town with its own fishing fleet & dating back to 1562. Old town is very quaint & has many good restaurants.
VALENCIA (1 hour's drive north): Spain's 3rd largest city & thought to be more than 2000 years old, and a former Moorish capital. Sights include the Cathedral, the Silk Exchange, Ceramic Museum, & numerous art galleries. Sophisticated shops & magnificent covered food market. Don't miss the futuristic Science & Arts Museum.
JALON VALLEY (30 mins drive inland): Fabulous scenery & unspoiled Spanish villages. Here you can see how rural life in Spain has remained unchanged for centuries. Famed for its wine production. From the vantage point of Coll de Rates, it's possible to see the whole valley and, on a clear day, the island of Ibiza.
GUADALEST: A mountain village 25kms inland from Benidorm - the 2nd most photographed place in Spain! The views from here are stunning. Built by the Moors to defend themselves from invasion, it is entered by going through a hole in the cliff face. FONTS D'ALGAR: Situated on the way back from Guadalest - cascading waterfalls & fresh water pools where you can have a welcome swim after a hot day!
The Moraira / Benitachell/Cumbre del Sol area
LOCAL AMENITIES: Besides the on-site facilities, just a short distance away at the Lirios Centre on Cumbre del Sol, there are restaurants/bars, and a cabaret entertainment venue. Near the supermarket on Cumbre del Sol, there is a further restaurant/bar (with its own swimming pool), and a pharmacy. There is a huge choice of restaurants within 10 minutes drive offering all kinds of international cuisine, and there are also many rural restaurants to try within easy distance offering set menus at low prices.
NEARBY BEACHES: The property is a few minutes drive from the beautiful, secluded beach at Cumbre del Sol which has a restaurant, beach bar, sunbeds for hire, and toilet facilities. The beach at Moraira (wide, sandy beach), and El Portet (a sandy, picturesque bay with wonderful views) are 10 mins drive. Both have restaurants/toilet facilities and are particularly suitable for children. Javea is 15 mins drive, and has large, sandy beaches & a huge choice of restaurants. In addition, there are many unspoiled coves and viewpoints to discover within easy driving distance.
LOCAL PLACES TO VISIT: MORAIRA (10 mins drive): Formerly a small fishing village - now an up-market town retaining a village atmosphere. Beautiful beach, excellent selection of bars & restaurants, & lively shopping area, including a market on Friday mornings. On summer evenings, a small craft market is held in the town, and there is often live music in the main square - lovely to listen to whilst you are eating al-fresco at one of the restaurants that surround the square. In mid-June, the town stages its annual "Moors & Christians" fiesta which is spectacular. It includes a "battle" around the castle, and culminates in a grand parade with fantastic costumes and floats. Not to be missed! A large market is held in the main car park on Friday mornings.
JAVEA (15 mins drive): A fascinating mix of old & new - lovely beach, huge choice of restaurants in the port area, and an un-spoilt old town which is fun to explore. A market is held in the old town on Thursday mornings.
BENITACHELL & TEULADA (both 10 mins drive): Small typical Spanish towns with narrow streets full of pretty houses. Markets are held in both towns on Wednesday mornings - great for fresh produce at very good prices.
DENIA (25 mins drive): Historic major town, a castle proudly surveying the port., and good beaches. You can drive to Denia over the Montgo (Sleeping Elephant) mountain, which is a national park.

PRICES shown are for 3-5 people or 2 people and are inclusive of cleaning before & after your stay, water, gas, electricity, towels and bed linen with weekly change.
We are happy to accept bookings for part-weeks (subject to a minimum of 7 days), the extra days being charged pro-rata, and arrival/departure days are flexible.
25% of total cost is payable on booking (which must be paid in GB£), and the balance becomes due 8 weeks before departure. We can accept the balance payment in GB£ or euros.
In addition, there is £100 (or euro equivalent) security deposit, payable with the balance, which is refunded within 14 days of your return home, provided no major breakages or losses have been incurred, and we are in receipt of the keys.
The total cost plus security deposit will be payable on bookings made within 8 weeks of departure.
Payments are accepted by bank transfer or cheque. PayPal also accepted but will incur extra charges.
LONG TERM LETS (1 month or more) are available in Low Season at REDUCED RATES. Please ask Agent for more information.
