There are 2 tennis courts on the Pla Del Mar development.
Within 15 minutes drive of the villa is Javea Golf Club situated between Moraira and Javea and is open all year round. The course is a 9 hole, par 72 and 3,035 metres. The course is easy to play and relatively flat. Other facilities include: driving range, putting green, heated swimming pool, club bar and restaurant, tennis and squash courts.
La Sella Golf Club, designed by Seve Ballesteros, is 26 minutes drive inland near the village of Jesus Pobre. The course has 18 holes, par 72 and is 6,029 metres. The course although flat has many trees and water obstacles. This is a private members club open to the public. Facilities include: driving range, putting green, motorised trolleys, club bar, lounge bar, restaurant and swimming pool.
Within 40 minutes drive north in Oliva is Oliva Nova Golf Club, .

The Costa Blanca/Valencia region
The Costa Blanca has something for everyone, beautiful beaches, golf courses, towns and villages. The lovely coastal resorts of Altea, Calpe, Javea & Denia are well worth a visit, you will find many wonderful restaurants & tapas bars, plenty of shops and lovely sandy beaches.
Due west from the island of Ibiza is Moraira, a first rate resort with excellent facilities, a paradise anchored on the Costa Blanca with extensive green areas. Eight miles of coastline and three magnificent blue flag beaches of fine sand alternating with small, rocky coves.
A drive inland will bring you to the well preserved village of Guadalest up in the mountains where you can enjoy the stunning views of the countryside. Or visit the Jalon Valley, a fertile vine growing area where you can sample the local wines and purchase after free tasting if you wish.
In this area of the Costa Blanca you can also visit the Terra Mitica Theme park and Aqualandia Water park, also Mundomar 'sea world' park in Benidorm.
A genuine paradise set amongst the greenery of the Costa Blanca. Moraira is a first-class tourist resort with excellent facilities and services. It has eight kilometres of coastline, and three magnificent beaches of fine sand alternating with small, picturesque, rocky coves.
A lot of property owners are claiming their property is situated in the prestigious Pla Del Mar area and whilst this is true, a lot are on the Northern outskirts and are not within easy walking distance to the town or beach, whereas ours truly is, just check the accurate location on the map.
Pla del Mar is Moraira's original residential area, situated right beside the town and overlooking the Marina. The streets here are named after the seas of the world. Situated on a low hillside overlooking the town with fine views of the Moraira-Benissa coast with the Calpe Peñon in the distance.
Facing Pla del Mar and overlooking the Marina and the sea, is a recently inaugurated sea front path that runs from Moraira to El Portet. The photo opportunities here are spectacular. At the start of the path is a small park featuring typical Mediterranean plants and shrubs.
For many years, Pla del Mar and El Portet have been favourite places for Valencian holiday homes with visitors driving down to their properties at the weekends. Now Moraira is more international with residents from throughout Europe. Pla del Mar properties have some wonderful old gardens and surprisingly quiet streets for being so close to Moraira centre.
Pla del Mar, whilst not exactly gated, is remote from local traffic and is managed by its own security personnel.
Over 80 restaurants with endless varieties of dining, festivals and a tour through the streets of small craft shops and flea market.
The 3 nearest beaches are L'Ampolla, which is a lovely sandy beach with a play area for children, El Portet, which is set in a beautiful bay and ideal for children with its shallow waters just a short stroll from the town and Mon-drago (very stoney, no sand) beach (by car) which in the high season has 2 bar/restaurants on the beach.
Considered to be the "Jewel in the Crown" of the Costa Blanca, Moraira was once a small fishing village is now a sophisticated resort. There are elegant shops and numerous restaurants to suit all tastes. There are no high rise hotels or apartment blocks, the area remains exclusively for villa owners and those who prefer the independent holiday.
Walk around the lovely harbour and visit the fish market which will be selling the freshly caught fish of the day then have a wander around the town and choose form the many bars and restaurants to stop for refreshments!
Every Friday you will find the local market in the large car park in the centre of Moraira which is well worth a visit.
There are many festivals during the year, one of the most spectacular is the Moors & Christians festival which is held around the middle of June. This includes beach battles, marching processions through the town and ends with a firework display.
