The Costa Blanca (White Coast) is now one of the most cosmopolitan areas in Europe, having a coastline of over 200 kms and made up of some of the finest beaches on the Mediterranean.
Many of these beaches, including the ones around Moraira, enjoy a 'blue flag' status - the highest award that can be given within the EU.
However, just a short drive inland and you'll find hillsides covered with terraced vineyards and lush-green citrus orchards, a legacy of the agricultural traditions of the area, and dotted with charming villages full of narrow streets and flower-filled squares.
The Costa Blanca region of Spain also has one of the best climates in the world as defined by the UN's World Health Organisation. Enjoying on average over 300 days of sunshine a year, summer temperatures rarely fall below 30C whilst winters are typically very mild with average temperatures around 18C.
Cumbre Del Sol, the "Mountain of Sun", is perfectly situated for access to the best resorts on the Costa Blanca, being just 3 kilometres from the "jewels" of Moraira and Javea and a short drive from the cosmopolitan towns of Calpe and Denia. The sea and panoramic views from Cumbre Del Sol are breathtaking and on most days you can see the Balearic Islands across the water. Cumbre Del Sol Beach, a 1.5 kilometre drive down a picturesque craggy road, is a lovely sandy beach complete with bar and glorious views.
In this area of the Costa Blanca you can also visit the Terra Mitica Theme park and Aqualandia Water park, also Mundomar 'sea world' park in Benidorm.

The Large, Private, sun terrace has quality furniture, table with 4 standard chairs, 2 sunbeds, & a large sun umbrella, also a bbq. There are 2 award-winning, infinity cascading community pools for the exclusive use of the owners and guests. The pool design is an optical illusion and conforms to safety standards. There are some sun beds at the pool area. Additionally there is another community pool (a short drive away) by the pub/restaurant area. The sun terrace is large but still retains privacy and has the most wonderful, 180 degree panoramic views of the coastline and the Mediterranean. The apartment is south-easterly facing so enjoys the sun from early morning until late afternoon. The premises have the advantage of an alarm and security doors/locks and grills being fitted and is situated in a quiet area with no traffic noise.

The Costa Blanca / Valencia / Alicante Province region
The coastal town of Moraira is part of the municipality of Teulada. It has lots of shops bars & restaurants also some nice beaches.
In earlier times the centres of population were situated away from the coasts to offer some protection from marauding pirates and invaders - Romans, Moors, Berbers etc.
Moraira developed as the fishing port for Teulada, and both the lookout tower (Torre-vigia) on Cap d'Or overlooking Moraira's El Portet beach, and the Castle are reminders of the past. In more recent times this quiet and peaceful fishing port has become a busy yet pleasant resort.
Javea itself is a small, historic town , free of high rise buildings offering a relaxing holiday and contact with a friendly and forthcoming local population.
Javea old town is steeped in history, with Tosca stone porticoes, Gothic bay windows, wrought iron window bars and balcony railings.
The Arenal beach area is the commercial and tourist part of Javea.
The Moraira / Cumbre del Sol area
In Cumbre Del Sol there is a horse riding centre and tennis courts.
The tourist office offers free guided walks of the area in English and Spanish during the summer.
Also in summer, pleasure boats sail between Cabo San Antonio and Denia up to 3 times a day.
There are a number of activities for children in the Benidorm area which include Mundomar Marine Park, Aqualandia Water Park and Terra Mitica 'historical' theme park.
El Vergel safari park is 20 minutes north .In Cumbre Del Sol there is a horse riding centre,tennis courts.and go-karting tracks.
Valencia City is well worth a visit for the Central Market, and the 'Oceanographic (spectacular aquarium) that forms part of the City of Arts and Sciences.
Within 7 minutes drive of the villa is Javea Golf Club situated between Moraira and Javea and is open all year round. The course is a 9 hole, par 72 and 3,035 metres. The course is easy to play and relatively flat. Other facilities include: driving range, putting green, heated swimming pool, club bar and restaurant.
La Sella Golf Club is 15 minutes drive inland near the village of Jesus Pobre. The course has 18 holes, par 72 and is 6,029 metres. The course although flat has many trees and water obstacles. This is a private members club open to the public. Facilities include: driving range, putting green, motorised trolleys, club bar, lounge bar, restaurant and swimming pool.
Both Javea and La Sella clubs have tennis and squash courts. Within a half hour drive north in Oliva is Oliva Nova Golf Club, designed by Seve Ballesteros. This testing course 18 holes, par 72 and 7,051 metres. The club has a shop, driving range, restaurant, swimming pool and fitness centre.

Most of the budget airlines fly into Alicante and prices are especially keen if you can be flexible.

What a lovely place! Amazing views and excellent facilities. We could not think of anything else that one might expect to find in a holiday rental; everything was there. From Wi-Fi to DVD's to 100 TV channels, fluffy towels and comfy beds and an amazingly well-equipped kitchen, amongst other things. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and hope to return some day...soon! One word of advise; please make sure that you know how to operate the door safe where the key is kept upon arrival, as a hefty GBP 20 will be levied for assistance! Ouch! Other than that, outstanding stay!

Highly recommend this apartment, spectacular views across the med - beautiful to watch the moon over the sea at night! Absolutely spotless and immaculately presented, comfortable modern furnishings with lots extra touches to make it feel that bit more special plus the Wifi a massive bonus!
Fantastic manager Jenny who very kindly left a welcome pack waiting for us with the essentials which was very useful as we arrived early hours of the morning - nice touch as most don't do that anymore!
Great communication on booking with lots of information provided.
We would definitely stay at Med View apartment again and would highly recommend it, however, a car is essential due to the location at the very top of Cumbre...but worth it for the views!
We will be back soon!
