A spacious corner penthouse (3rd floor) apartment overlooking (literally) the Mediterranean sea. What makes this apartment so special? The unspoiled view of the sea and sound of the waves gently hitting the shoreline.
The apartment consists of two good sized bedrooms, sleeping 4 guests (with the main bedroom guests enjoying a perfect sea view); a large kitchen and dining room area; a toilet/shower room; and a balcony that stretches around the entire apartment on two sides.
The one room (besides the balcony) that really makes this apartment a beautiful place to be is the lounge area. The lounge area is spacious, and has two external doors that open up to beautiful sea views and the sound of the waves gently hitting the shoreline. The balcony is large enough to easily accommodate the four guests around a dinner table... or laid out sunbathing.
The apartment is situated just 300 metres from 'Las Rocas' beach, and approximately 800 metres to Moraira centre with it's shops, banks, restaurants and local market (Fridays). What makes Moraira so special is it's culture. The towns leadership have maintained a healthy balance between the traditional fishing village history and the more modern spanish culture. If I could sum up Moraira in two words they would be "beautiful" and "friendly".
I would recommend this apartment, and the village of Moraira, to be the perfect holiday destination for couples and families of all ages.

A large spacious lounge which opens on to a balcony with panoramic sea views. Watch English TV on the flat screen in comfort or relax with a DVD. Outdoor furniture ideal for al-fresco dining whilst enjoying the beautiful sea view, the sounds of the lapping waves, and in the summer this sea front apartment benefits from a cooling sea breeze.
The kitchen is light and airy with everything you need to feel at home. The dining table seats 6 people comfortably for the occasions you wish to eat at home. If you are on a working holiday it is ideal for an office table.
A beautiful master bedroom which opens on to the balcony, so if you fancy a lazy morning open the patio door and listen to the sea. The master bedroom has a double bed and fitted wardrobe, giving you plenty of space to hang your clothes.
Bedroom 2 has 2 single beds (which can easily be pushed together to form a second double bed) and a fitted wardrobe.

Bed linen and 2 towels per person are supplied, please bring your own beach towels. Two week holidays include a linen change. The property is cleaned at changeover.

The balcony has panoramic sea views and was re-tiled with new railings fitted in 2011. It's the perfect place to sit and relax on the outdoor furniture listening to the sea with a glass of Sangria. In the evening the balcony is the perfect place to sit and watch the sun go down, and the lights of the towns along the coast light up the night sky.
A parking space is provided if you have a car but it is not secure parking. If you have more than 1 car there is a large free car park in Moraira town. Unless you wish to travel out to the other local towns, a car is not essential.
The apartment building does not have a lift, only a stairway. The stairs are not enclosed so you can stop and admire the different views as you walk up.

The Costa Blanca/Valencia region
Moraira is in easy reach of many beautiful towns. You have the coastal town Javea which is a 15 minute drive and a further 15 minutes you have Denia, a large bustling town. A little more local you have the picturesque town of Guadalest.
The Costa Blanca of Spain has one of the best climates enjoying over 300 days of sunshine in an average year. With an average yearly temperature of 18C and in the summer months June, July & August you can expect temperatures as high as 28C - 31C.
For golfers you have 3 courses to choose from. Javea golf club is a 10 minute drive away with 9 holes, Denia "La Sella" course is 18 holes and in the Marriott Hotel complex. The course with lovely views of the Calpe rock is a 9 hole course on the edge of Moraira, Golf Ifach.
For children you have Terra Mitica theme park or Aqualandia which are 30 minutes drive away in Benidorm. In Moraira itself you have the children's funfair which is here all year round.
Moraira now justifiably lives up to it's reputation as the "St. Tropez" of Spain. A main reason for this is that there are no buildings over 5 storeys allowed to be built, and this means there are no high-rise hotels and therefore no mass tourism.
Good quality shops, reasonably priced bars and restaurants are the ‘norm’. All three beaches in town are EEC Blue Flag approved, the beautiful beaches and promenades are amongst the prettiest to be found along the coast, and a Daily Mail article has named El Portet beach as the most beautiful on the east coast of Spain. Facilities devoted to walking, sailing, sub aqua, karting, golf and horse-riding offer sport and entertainment in and around the town, and the Friday market is a must. For the kids there is a permanent funfair.
Many fiestas are held in Moraira throughout the year, but one of the most spectacular is the Fiesta of the Moors and Christians, which needs to be seen to be believed.
In June each year the Moors and Christians Fiesta takes place during which a magnificent parade of Moorish and Christian groups vie for superiority, marching, dancing and riding through the streets dressed in wonderful, colourful costumes urged on by bands playing rousing and exotic music. The fiesta also teases the senses with exciting blood curdling action as the Moors storm and capture the castle overlooking the beach on day one, only for it to be retaken by the Christians the following day.

The local market is held on a Friday morning, where there is excellent fresh produce on sale together with many non food items which should appeal to locals and tourists alike.
AREAS OF MORAIRA
El Portet is in a sheltered bay within walking distance of Moraira. Both El Portet and Moraira have a rather upmarket feel with nothing to be seen of the high rise developments that have scarred much of the Costas in Spain
El Portet is a quiet seaside village, with a gently sloping, sandy bathing beach with beautiful warm clean clear water, ideal for swimming. The lovely narrow sandy beach is ideal for children, and is backed by a handful of beach bars serving food and drink.
There is a superb view along the beach to Calpe and inland there are pine clad mountains. In the village of Portet there is a small supermarket and a selection of bars and restaurants.
Pla del Mar
Pla del Mar, is Moraira's original urbanization, situated right beside the town and overlooking the Marina. The streets here are named after the seas of the world. Situated on a low hillside overlooking the town with fine views of the Moraira-Benissa coast with the Calpe Peñon in the distance.
Facing Pla del Mar and overlooking the Marina and the sea, is a recently inaugurated sea front path that runs from Moraira to El Portet. The photo opportunities here are spectacular. At the start of the path is a small park featuring typical Mediterranean plants and shrubs.
For many years, Pla del Mar and El Portet have been favourite places for Valencian holiday homes with visitors driving down to their properties at the weekends. Now Moraira is more international with residents from throughout Europe.
Tabaira, Moraira – 2 kilometres from Moraira and the beach, Tabaira is set on the hillside just outside Moraira. Tabaira offers a selection of small shops including a bakery, newsagents, bars, restaurants supermarket and
taxi/car hire company.

"The ideal location for a relaxing holiday"
Having stayed in other holiday apartments this was the best by miles. Perfect location, but the centre of Moraira is only a ten minute walk away. Spotlessly clean with homely feel.

"lovely Apartment - Beautiful sea views"
We stayed at this apartment, for a week, during August 2012 and had a great time. The sea views were amazing, the balcony over looking the sea.
The apartment was well furnished, with good facilities, not far from Moraira beach (walking distance). It also had Sky TV - which a great for our 5 year old toddler - who watched CBEEBIES at tea time, before bed.
As I generally have to do a bit of work when on holiday - an Internet connection would be a bonus

"Spectacular Sea Views, perfect location."
We know Moraira well having enjoyed regular stays in a family villa there over the past thirteen years. On this occasion, we needed to find somewhere else for a few days and stumbled upon this apartment on the internet. It was a little short notice but contact with the owner was friendly and efficient. On arrival we were met and shown around by Sue, who also checked us out on departure. She was friendly, prompt and cheerful and I'm sure that if we'd needed any assistance during our stay she would have been pleased to help.
Although it is two years since our short stay, and though I know the location well and have been spoilt by private pools and hillside views down to the sea, it will be some considerable time before I'll forget the jaw-dropping impression of the Mediterranean views from this apartment. The large, wrap-around balcony means that if you're in the lounge or the main bedroom there's a sense that you are out at sea. It was lovely simply to sit out on the balcony, at any time of day, or to fall asleep with the windows open to the sound of waves gently lapping the rocks below. Another advantage of being right on the sea front is that there's nearly always a gentle breeze which tends to keep mosquitoes away. Further inland, this isn't always the case. There was no air-conditioning at the time of our stay but the breeze meant it really wasn't necessary, even in August. By comparison, when we moved into our villa on the hillside behind, just days after our stay, and with no change in the weather, we had to cool down the bedrooms using the aircon before we could sleep.
The location is great, just far enough away from the centre of town to be quiet and yet within easy walking distance of it, either along the road, or cutting across the beach. There are a number of restaurants and cafes in the immediate vicinity meaning that if you don't have a car you'll manage well enough. Mas y Mas, the nearest big supermarket, would be accessible on foot if you're reasonably fit.
This is a very well equipped apartment and there was nothing we felt could have been added. I believe there is a TV with satellite access in the apartment but I don't think we even switched it on, preferring instead to lap up the views from the balcony. For anyone looking for an apartment in Moraira, this would make an excellent choice. In fact, I doubt you could beat it.

"Stunning views and a great location"
My wife and I (both 60+) stayed for the first two weeks in June 2012 and we were joined by my daughter, son-in-law and 18 month old grandson for 10 days in the middle of the holiday. Communication with the owner was excellent and she really went out of her way to make sure that we had all of the facilities we needed especially for the little one. We were initially concerned about the access to the apartment but found that each flight of stairs was quite short and easily managed with luggage. The building and apartment are quite modern with street access by a smart chromed security gate onto stairs up to the apartment and down to parking below (quite tight to negotiate in some areas) but it was always possible to park on the street if the better spaces were taken.
The apartment floors are tiled throughout and it was very clean in every respect and well presented so that we immediately felt comfortable and relaxed. A balcony wraps around from the back of the building overlooking the sea then to a side overlooking the coast and road to Calpe. The master bedroom and living room have simply stunning views through patio doors which also allow cooling breezes through the apartment so that we never considered using air conditioning. It was amazing to see the sunrise over Moraira while at night there was a silver path shining out over the sea to the rising moon.
In the immediate area there are several bars and restaurants. A well kept, sandy beach is a very short walk away on the Moraira side while the town centre itself is only 10 minutes or so on foot. There are two good supermarkets about 1 km away which stay open to 9.00 p.m. most nights.
We had a very relaxing and enjoyable holiday the highlights of which were waking up to the views each morning and sitting out on the balcony in the evenings. Very highly recommended.

very well equiped comfortable spacious apartment with lovely views easy walking distance to village for shops cafes and restaurants.also local restaurants and bars within metres.but non intrusive. we stayed for 8 weeks and enjoyed it immensely and would certainly stay again

The Moravit apartment is the stuff of dreams. Think of all the elements you need for a quiet, restorative holiday and the Moravit apartment gives them too you on a thoughtfully-provided plate. Everything you could need for a home from home is here. But then, with so many restaurants close by, who wants to cook? And if the very good food available locally is causing you concern, you have the choice of local watersports, a gym in the building or 60 steps to the apartment to keep you fit. And I read 3 books!

"Exactly as described"
I know Moraira well as my daughter lives there and I normally stay with her but because of more family there decided to rent an appartment reasonably centrally positioned.I knew exactly where it was and was not disappointed as the apartment was exactly as shown and although the initial stair climbing with cases and groceries was a hard slog the stay was very enjoyable and we would definately stay there again.
The actual number of the appartment on the directions would have been helpful on arrival
