The Costa Blanca region of Spain has one of the best climates in the world, enjoying over 300 days of sunshine in an average year. One of the most beautiful towns in the Costa Blanca is Moraira. Nestling between the mountains and the sea, the wonderful climate of this very special area boasts an average yearly temperature of 18°C. The Community of Villotel is built on a west facing hillside with views of the vineyards and the valley opposite and is located 3 kms from Moraira.

Alberca 23 is the lower half of a house with one other apartment (no. 24) above. Set on the edge of a pine forest, it is quiet all year round but easily accessible to nearby villages and towns.

The property is well-furnished entirely in black and white, giving a luxurious modern atmosphere. The two twin bedrooms have ample wardrobe space. The bathroom is just that, with a bath, basin, toilet, bidet (and the washing machine) whilst the spacious shower room has a toilet, basin and a large shower.

Parking area is just outside the front door.

The shared pool area, with tennis courts and a bar in the summertime, is just a five-minute walk and is one of the largest in the region.

There are plenty of shops, bars and restaurants very nearby, with a good family restaurant/bar near to the pool area as well.

Moraira is a beautiful old fishing village that has come very firmly into the 21st century, with a very large marina and lots of shops, restaurants, cafes and bars. Other villages and towns nearby have plenty more to offer, not least of all Benidorm, which is a 30 minute drive away. There you can experience the rather faster pace of Spanish holiday life, knowing that you have the peace and quiet of Moraira to go home to. The big cities of Alicante and Valencia are both within an hour on the motorway, which is only ten minutes away.

Many of the local towns have interesting markets - every day there is usually a market somewhere nearby. The biggest is in Moraira ever Friday.

The Spanish do love a fiesta - so check up in advance to make sure that you don't miss out on the fun. Most towns on the Costa Blanca have a "Moors and Christians" fiesta at different dates in the summer which is not to be missed, with fantastic parades, costumes, marching bands and lots of fireworks!

The Valenciana region

Moraira is small coastal town situated in the beautiful mountainous north-eastern tip of the Costa Blanca. The resort is conveniently placed between the airports of Alicante and Valencia (about 90km from each).

The surrounding region has a quiet and relaxing atmosphere, with beautiful and unspoilt scenery and many small villages to explore. ??

The town itself has pleasantly grown from a small fishing village to an attractive holiday and retirement resort, retaining its considerable charm that attracts visitors from all over Europe. It's also particularly popular with Spanish holidaymakers from Madrid and Valencia.

Moraira has an impressive marina, an excellent variety of local shops, markets, harbourside fish restaurants and bars and best of all has still managed to preserve its Spanish character.

Other nearby towns to the south include Calpe, Altea, Villajoyosa and further on down the coast to Alicante.

Benidorm, with it's amazing beaches and the hustle and bustle of bars, restaurants and nightlife is worth a special mention. Although a popular destination for many holiday-makers who choose to just enjoy the "sun and fun", there is a totally different side to the town that is still very Spanish, capable of surprising even the most cynical and reserved of visitors.

Heading north, you will find Javea, Denia, Gandia and on to Valencia.

Inland, there are even more little villages that all have their own individual character, with lovely restaurants that make it worth exploring on your own.


Villotel is a small residential community of apartments, bungalows and villas just 3km from Moraira centre & beach. Teulada and Benitachell are also very nearby and worth discovering.

The communal pool is one of the largest in the area and ideal for fun or serious swimming. It's split allowing junior swimmers their own shallow pool. The pool bar is open from Spring to Autumn.
