Below the villa and just 5 mins walk is a secluded pebble beach, overlooked by striking mountain ranges which produce amazing sunsets. La Casa Rosa is distinctive in this entire area as it is set all on one level, offering breathtaking views without breath-taking stairs to climb. It’s an easy and quick walk to local shops.
La Casa Rosa is perfect for large groups in summer, B&B and holiday courses throughout the rest of the year.

With an average of 320 sunny days a year, there’s little fear of rain. Cold spells are also rare; even in midwinter the chilly nights (mm. 8° C I 46F) are offset by warm days. So break away from convention - bring your family on a Christmas, Easter or mid-term holiday.
* Beaches:
Our little-known pebbly beach below the villa has large flat sunbathing rocks at each end and is only 350 m. (or 5 min walk) away. Two sandy beaches are within 1500 m; there are seven more within a 20-minutes drive.
* Shopping:
It's less than 150m to 3 restaurants, a supermarket-shopping mall, 3 bars, chemist, bank, doctor and dentist. Within 350m from the villa are a beach and several more restaurants (including Arabian, Italian, Swiss and Spanish) and bars (including Irish, English and German). A disco, nightclub . . . "
* Golf:
San Jaime Club - 1.5 km; Javea - 7 km; La Sella - 18 km.
* For the kids:
Several funfairs, go-karts, aquatic theme-parks, 10-pin bowling, safari parks and a bird sanctuary are within easy reach.
* Entertainment:
Submarine outings, cruises along the Costa, jet-skis, tennis, bowls, walking clubs and mountain clubs are also comfortably accessible, and splendidly varied. Benidorm Palace with its nightly dinner-dance and spectacular show (for all ages) should not be missed
The Moraira / Punta Estrella area
The villa is tucked away in a quiet side street, yet within a few minutes’ walking distance to every facility holidaymakers desire. La Casa Rosa is a few minutes by car from Benissa and Teulada, 15 minutes from Calpe with its string of harbour -side fish restaurants, flamingo salt-pan and the Peñon d’Ifach; 35 minutes from the miles of sandy beaches, great shopping and dining out at Benidorm, Denia and Javea, and 40 minutes from the delightful Jalon Valley villages, as well as Tarbena, Aitana, Guadalest, Bernia and other magnificent mountain villages, as also from the famous Algar Falls. There are great-value markets in Moraira, Altea, Javea, Benissa, Teulada, Calpe: as well as the renowned “rastros” of Jalon, Pedreguer and La Nucia. Every village has wonderful Moors-Christians re-enactments and the villages, towns, provinces and communities all have explosively enjoyable fiestas.

I rented this property at short notice as an alternative to a hotel. The location is fairly central and you have a view of the sea, but the villa is very tired and in need of refurbishment, and, as is common in this area, is set in a densly packed residentual area, which lacks the sense of space and seclusion you might look for on a holiday in one of the more upmarket parts of Costa Blanca. When my Family stayed for a few days this autumn, the property had not been cleaned properly following a large group the previous week and there were a number of areas where the standard was below what I would expect at this level. The property would work for a large group who want to be together in one house and have access to a private pool area, but where the standard of accommodation is not important. However, I suspect that might be better value options. A note of caution. If you are renting this property, do insist on a rental agreement and an inventory and condition report on arrival to prevent disputes on departure. |

We booked this villa due to it's size, we travelled as a group of 8 adults and 9 teenagers and it worked well once we had moved one of the beds. The villa its self was a bit tired, mainly the kitchen and living area but couldn't fault the outside space including the pool, the uninterrupted view out across the bay was stunning. We made use of the BBQ most days as the oven wouldn't have coped to cook for all 17 of us! We were slightly concerned to read a note on our arrival requesting us not to use the pool between 1pm and 4pm due to the filters! this was completely impractical as we had not planned to travel anywhere, we just wanted a relaxing stay at a villa, so we used it anyway and all seemed ok. A large supermarket is within a 5 minute walk down the road, with a great choice of everything. The walk into Moraira is about 30 mins with various bars and restaurants along the way, a return taxi journey cost between €7 and €10. Overall we had a great time, very relaxing holiday. |
