Calais is a bustling town with a wealth of attraction apart from its huge hypermarkets. Dominated by its Flemish style Hotel de Ville that can be seen from miles around, it also offers small boutiques, a fine array of restaurants and colourful Thursday and Saturday markets.

Le Touquet and its expansive promenade is a long time favourite of France’s elite. Its boasts stylish shopping galleries, acre of fine golden sand slope gently into the sea, providing safe swimming and other beach sports. Tennis, yachting, golf and horse riding through pine forest are also available. Bagatelle theme park is located in the area as is the Nausicaa water park.
