The house is situated 100 yards from the river with plenty of nice bucolic walks all around. It is also 300 yards from La Madeleine-sous-Montreuil and it's 2 interesting restaurants: l'auberge du vieux logis and La Grenouillière.
Montreuil, 5 min drive from the house is a typical French market town. There is a market every Saturday morning with a range of fresh local produce on offer. The town is also home to an award winning Wine Society shop, superb Fromagerie, numerous Pattisseries and Chocolatiers as well as many other interesting shops, cafes and restaurants.
The house is practical and very well equipped. It benefits from a wonderful, large and sunny garden. It also has an open fire-place.

The Montreuil-sur-Mer area
Montreuil is a fortified market town ringed by ancient walled ramparts looking out over picturesque countryside. The town has numerous hotels, bars and restaurants (including a couple of Michelin starred establishments), a theatre and cinema, specialist wine shops, cheese shops, chocolate makers, antique shops, art galleries, an auctioneer and charcutiers and patissiers to satisfy even the most avid gastronome.
Le Touquet is also very attractive for its fashion shops, bars and restaurant.

A comfortable and attractive house in a little village beneath Montreuil. You can walk across the fields up to the ramparts of Montreuil in 20 minutes. The house is well equipped ,very clean and has beautiful grounds. |
