About the home

Both properties can be rented together for extended families and larger groups. They are situated at either ends of a large gated courtyard. While they are both close by, they are totally separate and offer complete privacy from each other. Comfortably sleeping 12 people with a total of 6 bedrooms - 3 double bedrooms, 1 with en suite bathroom and 1 with en suite shower room, 1 twin bedroom, 1 room with single bed and set of bunks and 1 single bedroom. In addition to the en-suites there is also a bathroom and a shower room with toilet.
The Cottage has a cosy sitting room with a wood burner and electric radiators while La Grange enjoys full gas central heating. Everything is on hand to help you enjoy your stay, both properties have their own private patio/terrace with garden furniture and there are ample car parking spaces. The large courtyard allows the guests to gather together for BBQs etc.

Although we are in situated in the countryside, we have the best of both worlds as it is not too far to find an activity or go shopping should you wish. There is something for all age groups to enjoy.

We are 20 minutes from Le Touquet and many fabulous beaches, 15 minutes from the fortified town of Montreuil and its panoramic views, 5 minutes from the famous Beussent chocolate factory. Ideally located and is a great touring base.
Set in secluded sunny gated courtyard with private patio, garden furniture, barbecues and ample off road parking, close to restaurants and shops. The Côte d’Opale has 120 km of fabulous sandy beaches all within easy reach. There are 10 quality golf courses some exceptional, currently you can play 6 rounds of your choice from any 6 of these courses for a total of 220 euro, details on website golfencotedopale.com
There is a wealth of history in the area, such as the Agincourt Medieval Centre, war cemeteries and other historical sites. For fun days out the Disney style Bagatelle and Dennlys park is just a 35 minute drive, there are also many amusement and water parks, outdoor lovers can enjoy golf, swimming,walking, fishing, cycling, horse riding to name but a few pursuits.

A little further afield is Disneyland Paris which is easily reached in approx 2 1/2 hours and a day trip to Bruges in 90 minutes.

English speaking representative will welcome you on arrival to show you round the property and answer any question. A Welcome pack containing wine,water,milk, tea, coffee, etc is provided for your arrival.

At peak times the changeover day is Saturday. Arrival days can be flexible at other times. We ask our guests to arrive no earlier than 4pm on the day of arrival and leave no later than 10am on the day of departure. Obviously, we can make exceptions in certain cases if at all possible.

Electric heating and instant hot water 55 Euros supplement for both properties from April - Sept inclusive.
Electric heating and instant hot water 75 Euros supplement for both properties from Oct - March inclusive.
Linen & towels can be hired at €10 supplement pp.
Smokers are welcome but asked to please smoke outside.

Property must be left clean and tidy on departure.

Non refundable 25% of rental fee due at time of booking and balance due four weeks before your stay to secure booking.

The Northern France / Nord-Pas-de-Calais region

Golfing, riding, cycling, fishing and walking are all available in the region and for beach lovers the Côte d’Opal is just 20 minutes away.

Calais is a bustling town with a wealth of attraction apart from its huge hypermarkets. Dominated by its Flemish style Hotel de Ville that can be seen from miles around, it also offers small boutiques, a fine array of restaurants and colourful Thursday and Saturday markets.

Colourful fishing ports and villages such as Etaples and Boulogne are popular, whilst other ancient towns and villages such as St Omer and the picturesque hilltop Montreuil Sur Mer offer cobbled streets lined with 17th and 18th century houses. Montreuil offers a variety of restaurants and bars.

Le Touquet and its expansive promenade is a long time favourite of France’s elite. Its boasts stylish shopping galleries, acres of fine golden sand slope gently into the sea, providing safe swimming and other beach sports. Tennis, yachting, golf and horse riding through pine forest are also available. A racecourse and casino also add to the range of attractions.There are a multitude of excellent restaurants and bars plus a busy Saturday morning market.

Hardelot offers two international golf courses, fine beaches, bars and restaurants. The beaches and dunes extend along the coastline to Fort Mahon Plage, a seaside resort just 30km south of Le Touquet.

Dennly's, Bagatelle and Nausicaa theme parks are all within easy reach of the property.

A little further away is Lille, combining a rich history and cultural wealth with excellent modern amenities and shops. Beautiful facades of 17th Century buildings now dominate the old district. The historical and pretty city of Arras is also very popular for day trips.

The Montreuil-sur-Mer / Beussent area

A pleasant walk locates the close by village of Enquin sur Baillons with its pleasant surroundings and local bar, other neighbouring villages offer a bakery, bar and restaurants. The commune of Beussent lies just 10 minutes north of Montreuil in the beautiful Course Valley. This tranquil area is home to the famous Beussent chocolate factory, a must for all those with a sweet tooth and less than 5 minutes drive from the property. Fishing lakes are also located in the commune.
The charming walled town of Montreuil with its cobbled streets, flower displays, beautiful old houses and churches, not to mention a good selection of bars & restaurants is only 15 minutes drive. Montreuil’s imposing rampart has wonderful views of the surrounding countryside and is where Victor Hugo was inspired to write "Les Misérables", about the turbulent years of the Napoleonic Empire and the 1830 revolution. At the end of July and beginning of August a "Les Misérables" sound and light show draws thousands of visitors. Montreuil was the headquarters of the British Army in France during World War 1 and is a rich historical site. General Haig stayed in a château near the town.

“OUTSTANDING......... Best Easter weekend I have spent in a long time.” We rented the two properties as we had a large family celebrating my 5oth Birthday I had previously rented the cottage and thought it was ideal for a large gathering to be together in the one place.My Husband had emailed the owners requesting if possible for champagne to be in the fridge on arrival they had no problem doing this we arrived on the Friday afternoon we were meet with the court yard festooned with balloons and the tree in the centre was covered in lanterns with tea lights the place looked magical what a fantastiic surprise we had a lovely evening sitting outside the cottage having drinks the oweners recommended a restaurant which we booked and had a great night. The Cottage and Gite were spotless the owners had also left fresh bread and fruit which was greatly appreciated we were looking for something different to do on the Easter Sunday which was the day of my birthday they recommended a boat trip and local farm restaurant the boat trip was lovely we used a hamper which was in the cottage and filled it with treats and champagne we then went to the restaurant and had a wonderfull meal. To sum it all up it was a fab week end the whole family enjoyed and we will certanily be returning as soon as possible.

“Wow - loved it from start to finish” The warm welcome we received on our arrival set the tone for the rest of our stay, lots of local tourist info provided. The properties were absolutley lovely, both exceptionally well equiped and spotlessy clean; the kids loved having English TV and the little pool table and videos and toys got plenty of use, feeding the ducks at the rear of the gite was also good fun. The big kitchen and dining table was fab for our cheese and wine nights (we had lots of them). The location is excellent, beautifull countryside, great beaches and towns. Denlys Theme Park and the Rando Rail were just brilliant and the men raved about the golf courses. We all loved the BBQ's we had in the privacy of the courtyard. TGV to Paris only took 2 hours and we had a great day out, we also managed to fit in a day trip to Bruges which was also brilliant. We even drove to Disney, set off early and had full day in the resort, got home about midnight with a bunch of very happy kids both young and old. We packed loads into this holiday but somehow still found time to relax. Booking this holiday was simple and efficient, glad we did it and lots of happy memories.
