About the home

The house "Le Parsoye" has been fitted out with everything you could wish for a wonderful holiday and it suitable for couples or families who want that a bit extra out of their holiday. It's close to many attractions including the golf course, water park, restaurant.

The exclusive new house are located in the rural working village of Clenleu where life continues much as it always has, surrounded by rolling farmland and a lot of cows! It is safe and friendly, perfect for families where the adjacent houses can be rented together by family and friends.

The cottage sleeps 17 has 5 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms and is surrounded by it's own grounds with a huge garden, furniture, BBQ, spa, sauna, pool/snooker; the house is fully equipped kitchen with oven, cooking hobs, fridge/freezer and dishwasher, a big living room 120m2 with the veranda.

THE HOUSE
- Main entrance into large ground floor area consisting of open plan kitchen, dining and sitting area.
- Fully equipped with dishwasher, microwave, fan assisted oven and electric hob with extractor fan, ample store cupboards and central island for food preparation. Enough china, cutlery and glassware for 20 people.
- Laundry Room with washing machine, tumble dryer, clothes line and ironing facilities.

Conditions

At peak times the changeover day is Saturday. Arrival days can be flexible at other times. We ask our guests to arrive no earlier than 4pm on the day of arrival and leave no later than 10am on the day of departure. Obviously, we can make exceptions in certain cases if at all possible.

The Northern France / Nord-Pas-de-Calais region

Set between the sandy beaches of the Opal Coast and the rolling countryside of Les Sept Vallees, Montreuil is an ideal base for a family holiday or a short break in this beautiful part of France. Small enough to have preserved its medieval identity but large enough to support lively cultural and sporting activity

we are close to Montreuil sur Mer and Le Touquet. The former famous for its majestic medieval ramparts, the Wine Society and the wide selection of restaurants, and Le Touquet with its active beach, elegant shops and casino, busy night life and twice weekly market.

The Montreuil-sur-Mer / Clenleu area

There are many walks and cycle routes to explore the gentle, wonderfully empty, green countryside from the village.

Further a field there is over 30 miles of coastline to explore with Le Touquet only 40 minutes away. An Edwardian seaside town full of a quiet elegant charm with its chic boutiques and smart restaurants, a wide beach with sand dunes and ample space for every beach activity you can think of!

Montreuil is a fortified market town ringed by ancient walled ramparts looking out over picturesque countryside. Victor Hugo gained inspiration for the character of Jean Valjean in Les Miserables while walking round these ramparts and they remain much as they were when he visited Montreuil.

The town has numerous hotels, bars and restaurants (including a couple of Michelin starred establishments), a theatre and cinema, specialist wine shops, cheese shops, chocolate makers, antique shops, art galleries, an auctioneer and charcutiers and patissiers to satisfy even the most avid gastronome.

There are activities all year round, from Kite festivals in nearby Berck, to tennis tournaments at Le Touquet. There is motorbike racing on the beach, excellent rounds of golf at one of the many elegant courses, wine festivals, Michelin starred restaurants, flower festivals, fishing, kayaking and horse riding
Museums and Theme parks:

Nearby is Azincourt where there is a fabulous new interactive museum for everything to do with battles and medieval armour!

One of the oldest amusement parks in France can be found at Bagatelle which is about 50 minutes from us on the coast a little further south from Le Touquet.

For the Foodies:
There are countless places to visit from cheese farms, wine cellars, to the red currant garden at Loison sur Crequoise where a regional aperitif is made.

A visit to the chocolate ‘cellar’ always amuses and there all kinds of preserves to be found in the region.

Specialities of the area include lamb that has fed on the salt marshes, small herrings and mussels and there are ample restaurants to discover them all.

Only one hour's drive from Calais ferry terminal and 30 minutes from the Eurotunnel. Boulogne ferry port is 30 minutes away.

It is not recommended that you attempt to holiday here without a car. This is a small village and to fully appreciate the area you really do need a car so that you can explore further afield.

It was not too far from the ferry so the journey in France was minimal.. We loved the heated spa and the sauna and recommend visits cafes in Montreuil.
