These two holiday rental (gites) in south west France are situated on the ground and first floor. Both have front and rear entrances and access to the large, secluded garden area, with barbeque and furniture, and the 8 x 5 metre, figure eight,private open air swimming pool and paved seating area.The views from all aspects are stunning.
Both holiday rentals are newly renovated to a high standard but maintain many traditional features typical of south west France, such as stonework and beams. A rear courtyard provides the perfect evening dining area.

The Midi-Pyrenees / Hautes-Pyrenees region
Much of the scenery around our holiday homes in this part of the Haute-Pyrénées is dominated by the mountains, and there is easy access by road up into them, as well as to the many villages and towns dotted around. The area is close to the national park, and there are hundreds of high-altitude lakes and much magnificent wildlife to be seen. The Tour De France passes very close in July. The spring and autumn are warm, with the summers being very hot, with the odd shower or storm here and there. As you would expect, being near the mountains, it is almost guaranteed to snow in the winter.
Montrejau area
Generest is a great base to explore the surrounding area, with its beautiful mountains and local specialities. It was also easy to reach from Toulouse and nice and close for day trips to Spain.
There are numerous markets, festivals, restaurants, bars and lakes close by together with many activities in and around the mountains to cater for holidaymakers of all ages.
Nearby activities include. Skiing (main resorts are Luchon, Saint Lary, Superbagneres and La Mongie.), Fishing, Walking, Cycling.Tere is also a great Golf course 10 minutes drive from the gites set in breath taking surroundings.
Beautiful man-made beach on the edge of the stunning lake nearby,which is great for boating,swimming,walks and picnics.It has a large play area for children and a cafe on the waters edge.
How to get there
The nearest airports are Toulouse and Pau. British Airways and Easyjet fly from Gatwick to Toulouse. Ryanair and British Airways fly from Stanstead to Pau. From Toulouse Airport you need to get onto the A64 heading to Tarbes and Lourdes. From Pau you also need the A64, but head in the direction of Tarbes and St Gaudens. Once on this auto route come off at junction 17
Upon arrival, car hire and collection is easy as there are numerous operators available (Hertz, Alamo, Europcar, Budget etc) within the airports.

Gite 1 - The master bedroom has access to a romantic south facing balcony with a wonderful view of the village and surrounding valley.The perfect place to end the day watching the sun set and enjoying a glass of wine. - The second bedroom has bunk beds and a third single bed can be provided if required. - The kitchen area is fitted with hob, oven, microwave,toaster,kettle,coffee maker, fridge with freezer compartment, breakfast bar and is fully equipped with cooking and eating utensils,crockery and glasses. - Lounge area contains a double sofa bed, table and chairs, stereo,dvd,video and TV.
