The apartment is located on the first floor of a building full of character. A lovely entrance hall leads to a large living/dining room, with flat screen TV and a luxurious sofa for a night in. To the right of the hallway is a very large bedroom with 2 double beds. There are large French doors with shutters on to the balcony. Another double bedroom with an antique bed is accessed both from the hallway and through the other bedroom via a little corridor. The bathroom and toilet are located off this little corridor between the two. The kitchen is compact but well equipped, with a little adjoining courtyard for enjoying a leisurely breakfast.

The Languedoc-Roussillon / Herault region
The Languedoc region of the South of France is blessed with over 300 days sunshine a year, with temperatures reaching about 30 degrees in the summer months, mid 20's in April, May, June, September and often October and normally around 15 degrees the rest of the year, barring December and January when temperatures drop slightly but the sky is always a glorious blue.
Within 10 km of Montpellier, are the beautiful sandy beaches of Le Grande Motte, Palavas les Flot, and Le Grau-du-Roi. These beaches have numerous restaurants, perfect for a tasty lunch or night-time enteretainment. Transport around Montpellier couldn't be easier as there are two separate tram lines running every few minutes all around the city.
Within easy reach of Montpellier, are numerous points of interest. Sete, 15 minutes by train, is renowned as the home of George Brassens and Paul Valery. Its beautiful canals, fishing port and beaches are a perfect day trip.
The Etang de Thau is about 30 minutes away, with beautiful towns such as Marseillan, Bouzigues and Meze, known for their pretty ports and numerous restaurants.
Slightly further afield are the historic cities of Carcassonne, Nimes and Avignon. The Viaduct de Millau, an incredible feat of engineering, is the longest viaduct in Europe and one of the largest in the world - well worth a trip.
Montpellier / Historic Pedestrian Center area
Montpellier is a stunning city, full of beautiful buildings, churches and theatres. Along the winding streets you'll find beautiful shops and littles cafés tucked away in beautiful squares. Being a young and vibrant city, thanks to the numerous universites, the street life is amazing.
Most evenings in the Place de la Comedie there is street theatre with anything from dancers to musicians to flame throwers. In the summer months there is even beach volley ball. From the 1st of December there is a beautiful Christmas market with little wooden chalets selling original Christmas gifts, mulled wine and regional products. There is also an ice skating rink for the more adventurous. Montpellier is a very child friendly city with numerous play grounds and green areas.

Further details indoors: The apartment is beautifully furnished with antique furniture throughout. The original parquet flooring has been kept throughout and the high ceilings make the apartment feel spacious and cool in the summer.
While the kitchen is well equipped for light cooking there is only a microwave, not an oven as the choice of restaurants, wine bars, tapas bars, cafés all around the apartment is endless.
Further details outdoors: Just a few steps from the door of the apartment are numerous squares with bars, cafés and restaurants. There is also a great choice of clothes shops, with names such as Tommy Hilfiger, Mango etc on the doorstep. Just a few minutes walk is the renowned Place de la Comedie with its beautiful opera house and the Polygon shopping centre. Just off Place de la Comedie is the famous Fabre Museum. There are numerous historic buildings and churches within minutes of the apartment. As the train station is a TGV station, Montpellier is a great base to explore the region on relaxing day trips.

A breakage deposit of €200 euros is required, and will be returned once it has been verified that there are no breakages. A booking deposit of €200 is required to reserve the apartment which can be paid using your credit card. A cleaning charge of €50 is payable on departure. Bed linen and towels are available to hire locally, at a charge of €20 per couple, and the beds will be made up when you arrive.
