The Languedoc-Roussillon / Herault region
The Languedoc-Roussillon region has spectacular gorges, beaches, landscapes, chateaux and some of France's most popular cities, the Roman city of Nimes, the fortress city of Carcassone, the medieval city of Montpellier, etc. On your doorstep you have the glorious coastline with long stretches of golden sandy beaches. There are plenty of beautiful villages in the vicinity including Sommieres and its Saturday market, Aigues Mort, Uzes, Saint Guilhem le Desert, etc. The Camargue with its wonderful horses is only 30 miles away.
Montpellier area
The historic centre, only 3 minutes walk from the apartment, has an impressive 16th Century cathedral and a labyrinth of medieval lanes dating back to the VII Century, lined with street cafes and restaurants. There is an abundance of architectural treasures, museums, theatres, parks with fountains, vibrant street markets, and the Place de la comedie, where the locals mingle with the visitors and tourists from all over the world. There is also a botanical garden created during the reign of Henry 1V. Montpellier is a cultural, scientific and artistic town, hosting many cultural festivals all through the year for all to enjoy. The town boasts the Western worlds oldest medical school and has 2 Universities dating VII and XVII century.
How to get there
By Air- Ryanair flies from Stansted to Montpellier airport, also Bezier, Nimes, Carcassone, Perpignan are within travelling distance. By Train- The high speed TGV from Paris stops at Montpellier station, 100 yards from the apartment. By Car- The A9 autoroute can be exited at Montpellier centre.

There is a deposit of 160 pounds, which will reserve the holiday for you, this will be refunded within 7 days of your checking out. The apartment has to be left as you find it, except beds, which will obviously be left unmade, otherwise there will be a charge of £50 to cover the housekeeper.
There is also a charge of £60 if you lose the keys, one is electronic.
The total cost of the holiday to be paid 14 days in advance.
