The ultimate in sophisticated Cotswolds charm has swung open its double gates.

Lansdown House awaits the chatter of friends and the clatter of heels across oak floors. Sleeping 16 in super-stylish Cheltenham, this regency town house oozes class. It's there in the capacious kitchen, the feature fireplaces, the squishy sofas and the range cooker.

But Lansdown House knows how to have fun, too. There's the garden terrace with al-fresco dining, Sky TV, party rooms, hot-tub, on-demand catering and in-house meals.

For fun, stroll into town for upmarket retail and Michelin-starred dining, or sniff the greasepaint at the Everyman. The kids can go wild at the Cotswold Farm Park or make a splash at paintballing. Maybe they'll help dad go off-road, making a muddy mess and memories, too.

The Cotswolds region

Destination Cheltenham

Enjoy the best of Regency style in Cheltenham. Elegant town houses, characterised by intricate ironwork balconies and white painted stucco facades, line the historic Promenade, squares and terraces.

Discover award-winning gardens, an impressive range of stylish shops and restaurants, and of course the festivals of horse racing, music and literature.

Cheltenham, the jewel in jump racing's crown, plays host to the best jumping action in the world from 350 spectacular acres in the lee of the beautiful Cotswolds.

There are lots of boutique stores, cafes, smart bars and restaurants.

Kids in the Cotswolds

The Cotswold Farm Park is full of fun activities, which can be enjoyed whatever the weather. In our play barn, the ride-on battery operated tractors and self-propelled roller racers are a big hit for our 3-12 year olds, whilst outside for our younger visitors, the pedal tractors give toddlers a chance of tractor driving too.

Looking for more animal fun? Head to the Cotswold Wildlife Park. You'll get a train ride through the grounds, an adventure playground and of course the lions, zebras, hippos, penguins, fruit bats, monkeys – and lots more.

For a morning or afternoon in Cheltenham you can visit The Paint it Yourself Pottery Co. Lots of messy fun – and some pottery to bring home.

For a fun adventure playground, a great castle and fabulous gardens take a trip to Sudeley Castle. Pack a picnic, pick up a wooden sword and some bows and arrows, then take a tour of the castle.

Montpellier suburb

For the Grown Ups

Catch the racing, go to one of Cheltenham's many festivals, or just enjoy a spot of shopping. If you would like to indulge in some beauty and health pampering our expert beauty therapists offer a full range of treatments. Get all the luxury of a visit to a spa in the comfort of your own tranquil Cotswolds house.

Head off for dinner at one of the huge choice of award winning restaurants – take a stroll to the beautiful, art deco restaurant The Daffodil or dine in the two Michelin star Le Champignon Sauvage. Or if you enjoy theatre then choose the Everyman in Cheltenham. Or a take in a concert at the Pump Rooms.

For a brilliant night out there are great places for sophisticated cocktails and a host of stylish nightspots.
