About this location

The Cotswolds region

An excellent base to explore the Cotswolds. Visit the picturesque villages of The Slaughters, Bourton on the Water, Broadway, Winchcombe and admire the honey coloured stone. Tewkesbury Abbey and Gloucester Cathedral, where part of Harry Potter was filmed, are within 10 miles of Cheltenham.

Walk the Cotswold Way, climb Leckhampton hill and see The Devil's Chimney or clamber up Cleeve Hill and look across to the Malverns and Welsh Black mountains.

Fine Regency architecture in Cheltenham with a museum, art gallery, 2 theatres, cinema complex, bowling, outdoor municipal tennis and in summer a fabulous 1930's swimming pool set in beautiful gardens.

Good transport links to other parts of the country.

Montpellier suburb

Cheltenham’s shopping is renowned, from all the well-known names to exclusive specialist boutiques –

all liberally interspersed with cafés for coffee/lunch/or just people-watching.

If shopping is not your bag then there is culture: a nationally designated Arts & Crafts collection at the Art Gallery & Museum and the fascinating home of the composer, Gustav Holst – or sport: National Hunt racing or football in winter, cricket or a host of other outdoor events in summer.

Not to be missed are St Mary’s church – the only medieval building in Cheltenham – and All Saints’, a treasure house of 19th/20th century craftsmanship including a Burne-Jones window. Something different might be a trip on a steam train, and in high summer, the Lido is the place to be – or just enjoy the parks and gardens…stroll to Hatherley Park and feed the ducks !

"Poorly equipped"

The location of the apartment was great. However, the vacuum cleaner spewed out dust, the clothes drier was broken, the kitchen was poorly equipped and equipped with very inferior quality utensils, the dishwasher needed salt and rinse aid and about 8 lightbulbs around the house needed replacing. While the manager was quick to replace the vacuum cleaner we feel that all these things should have been dealt with/ noticed before our arrival.

Thank you for your feedback. We always listen and learn. We supply matching cutlery, crockery, glasses, saucepans and cooking utensils. If a request is made for any additional items we happily supply them from the onsite storage facility. (Sadly, in this instance, no request was made so we were unable to help). The Dyson had developed a fault and was quickly replaced on notification. The cleaning company provide their own equipment and cleaning materials, but in future i will ask them to check all the light bulbs are working and the Dyson vacuum cleaner before leaving. Had we been notified about the dryer being broken we would have replaced it during the stay.On first glance it appeared ok , but on use you could see the fault. We realise drying bedding and towels in apartments is difficult so we supply sufficient towels/bedding for 2 weeks then replace with fresh laundry for a further 2 weeks. Guests launder their personal items themselves.Spare light bulbs are provided in the hallway utility cupboard for guests to use. If the guests prefer not to change bulbs the handyman will always call. The apartments offer excellent value for money and are rarely without guests, most staying for several months at a time while house hunting or between moves. We try to check everything between handovers and check ins but some things like the clothes airer slip through, so apologies. This has now been replaced. I would like to thank this group for looking after the apartment so well during their stay and again thank them for their feedback.
