About the home

Olearium is situated in the main street of the historical centre of Montorio al Vomano. It leans out a big garden and Vomano river. It was in the past the oil mill of the main house and now recently restructured refinedly.

It's possible to rent Olearium for a period going from 3 to 30 days. The town is in the National Park of Gran Sasso and Monti della Laga. Olearium is not far from the mountain (Prati di Tivo, Pietracamela, Campo Imperatore) and from the seaside (Giulianova, Roseto). The A14 and A25 motorway exit is 15 km far.

The house of about 200 s.m. consists of an entrance, one single room, one double room, a living room of about 70 s.m. with a nice fireplace, a kitchen, a spacious bathroom with shower. In the living room there is also a double divan-bed.

The living room leans out on a nice terrace where it's possible to see the Gran Sasso mountain and the Vomano river that lap on a big garden.

The Marche / Abruzzo / Abruzzo region

Abruzzi is a region of unknown wonders. Its territory combines the majesty of the two highest peaks of the Appennines Mountains, the Gran Sasso and Maiella mountains, with a rolling, green, hilly countryside which gently extends to the sea. Here a never-ending shoreline of golden sand and shallow blue waters, along with well equipped bathing resorts, assure ideal holidays.

Pleasant villages are scattered all around, all typically fascinating and full of cultural interest. All over the region it is possible to appreciate its ancient history which is evidenced by Roman ruins, mediaeval churches, castles and museums. With its combination of natural and artistic beauty, Abruzzi is a wonderful setting for your holiday.

The Montorio al Vomano area

From Montorio al Vomano it is possible to reach in few minutes the skiing place of Prati di Tivo, to effect long and relaxing walks in the National Park of the Gran Sasso and of the Monti della Laga, to visit countries rich in history as Civitella del Tronto and the famous Castelli, known all over the world for the beauty and importance of its ceramics. The important sanctuary of San Gabriele is 10 km far.

In few minutes it is possible to also reach the sea. You will have so the possibility to visit the places of mountain and sea of Abruzzo.

Four itineraries are recommended (they have as point of departure Montorio al Vomano):

1) First itinerary: THE ROMANS' TRACES AND THE LAST FORTITUDE. MONTORIO-TERAMO-CAMPLI-CIVITELLA DEL TRONTO (35 min).
Departing from Montorio al Vomano is possible to reach in 11 minutes the city of Teramo, a trip in the history and in the gastronomic and naturalistic pleasures of the province of Teramo.

2) Second itinerary: THE CITIES' OF ART AND THE BLUE COAST. MONTORIO-ATRI-SILVI-PINETO-ROSETO-GIULIANOVA-TORTORETO-ALBA ADRIATICA-MARTINSICURO (1 h and 50 min).
The Blue Coast is the line of sea that goes from Silvi to Martinsicuro. And' is so rechristened because the places on this line of coast have almost all been awarded the years the recognition of the Blue Flag of Europe.

3) Third itinerary: THE MOUNTAINS: THE PEARLS OF GRAN SASSO AND LAGA. MONTORIO-CASTELLI-NATIONAL PARK OF GRAN SASSO AND MONTI DELLA LAGA.
One of the more evocative routes of Abruzzi passing for Castles rocks of the art of the ceramics. In the Park advanced vegetables live beyond 2300 species, beyond fifth of the entire European flora and more than a third party of the Italian floristico patrimony.

4) Fourth itinerary: PLACE FOR WINTER SPORTS. MONTORIO-PIETRACAMELA-PRATI DI TIVO (25 min).
To the feet of a full of rocks spur, to the stratums of the Gran Sasso, they are climatic stations and attends centres to you of summery and winter tourism, in one rich zone of forests. Pietracamela is one of the best lines of departure for ascensions to the Large Horn and the Small Horn.
