This is just about as French as you will get!! Large French Farmhouse sleeping up to 10 people. Set in beautiful surroundings, bordering the River Veserre with fantastic 180 degree views. The village, St. Leon - sur-Veserre which has been granted the prestigeous award Beau Village du France, is within a 10 minute stroll or cycle through the grounds and along the riverbank. Here you can pick up your bread and croissants in the morning, stroll back into the village when the church bell strikes midday for a delicious lunch and return back in the evening for dinner in one of 4 great restaurants.. Stroll through the tiny streets of the village and sample local wines and food.
Evenings are mostly spent outside on the terrace covered by vines,sat at the large rustic oak table which seats up to 16 people, eating drinking and listening to the silence! No neighbours so no worries about noise! For chillier evenings there is a large inglenook fire in the kitchen and a woodburner stove in the lounge.

The Aquitaine / Dordogne / Dordogne region
The Dordogne one of the most beautiful areas of France, with its large expansive views, rural landscape and pleasant climate.
It is renowned for it's 1000 chateaux of exceptional beauty; many of which are open to the public. It is probably best know as the centre of Prehistory in Western Europe with countless cave dwellings, prehistoric sites and the most famous Lascaux cave paintings in nearby Montignac.
There are many sporting activities available for all levels and ages - Canoeing, horseriding; Walking Mountian biking; fishing etc....
-The 'Gourmet' restaurants or local 'Tables d'Hôtes' are many and of good quality. A list is available on site in the house to help you find the best restaurants in the area.
-The area suits families or couples; suitable for realxing and getting away from it all, for a sportive active holiday; for enjoying the historical richness or cultural visits.
-There are classical music;jazz music and world folklore festivals throughout the summer season.
Montignac / St. Leon Sur Vezerre area
St Leon sur Vezerre is a beautiful village built from the rich golden stone of the region. It is very proud to hold the award of Beau Village du France. In winter the Village is quiet with only a few visitors but in the summer it comes alive with visitors from all over the world who come to explore the tiny streets, sit outside the bars and enjoy a meal at one of the 4 excellant restaurants. It is also used as a start off point for canoing where visitors can hire canoes for the day and take a trip down the Vezerre and where children can paddle and swim.
Music festivals are held throughout the summer and the village holds its annual Fete over the second weekend of August.
