The Aquitaine / Dordogne / Dordogne region
The Dordogne region has a very mild climate. Already in February temperatures may rise till 25 degrees but at night it can still be very cold. In the summer it is not too hot, and at night it is fresh so you can have a good nights sleep. There is lots to see in the Dordogne area, very well known for its grottes and castles.
Montignac / Saint Rabier area
Monitgnac, grottes de Lascaux, Les eyzies, drawings in caves, Sarlat, domme, Beynac, Laroque Cageac and many many activities like climbing, canoing etc
How to get there
From Sept 2007 you can fly to Brive-la-Gaillarde which is very near to this lovely private house with no neighbours for a maximum of 4 people. Now you can fly with Ryan air to Bergerac or to Toulouse or Limoges, which are both at 1 1/2 hours drive.
With the car Highway A20 and then to Brive, from Brive towards Bordeaux and you will pass the little village Saint Rabier.
