This is a large apartment on the ground floor and with it's own separate entrance from the parking area. It can also be approached by the courtyard.
The apartment is a part of a 200 year old, stone built farm house, which was originally a silk farm. Set in the heart of the Drôme Provençal countryside; surrounded by fields of sunflowers; tomatoes, maize and garlic.

Calm and very comfortable, it has a pretty sitting room/dining area which hosts an open fireplace. It has two bedrooms. Both have single beds and one has a shower on suite the other a bathroom en suite.
This apartment has an American kitchen which is equipped with a hob, four rings, microwave and an oven. Sheets and towels are provided but not swimming pool towels.

Delightful garden surrounding the swimming pool, south facing warm and sunny with large shady trees to rest under in the heat of the day.

The Montelimar area
Montélimar is a commune in the Drôme department in south eastern France. It is the second largest town in the department after Valence. Montélimar is known in its region for its famous aire (service station) which unlike typical rest-stops offers accommodation, restaurants and such leisure activities as fencing and scuba diving. On occasion, visitors passing the aire have been known to put up tents and stay for several days.

Janie, the owner, is friendly, warm and welcoming. I have enjoyed three other stays here with family and friends over the years (on one occasion there were 11 of us) and the hospitality has always been first class. Would definitely recommend this to anyone as a relaxed holiday. A car is essential to allow one to enjoy the beautiful scenery and picturesque towns and villages. |
