About the home

Tendresse du sud is truly a beautiful villa, a real picture-postcard image with its creamy stone walls, pretty shutters and climbing roses and its romantic natural setting.

The property´s own gardens are also gorgeous, an idyllic refuge for restful days. Well-kept lawns and flowering bushes, a private pool with sun loungers and a poolhouse with small fridge, an out-building with gym equipment, quiet sitting areas ideal for evening drinks at sunset, and a lovely pergola-shaded terrace by the house with furniture for al fresco dining. The rest of the gardens are made up of orchards and steeply terraced woodland.

Please note: a resident cat is free to roam the grounds (not allowed inside) and is fed by the maid daily.

Originally a simple sheepfold, Tendresse du Sud has evidently been luxuriously renovated and decorated over the years to make it the welcoming holiday home it now is.
Entering via the dining terrace you´ll come into the pleasant dining room, like the rest of the house it is painted in warm pastel shades and furnished with traditional Provencal furnishings. From here you enter the spacious living room with its open fireplace. The kitchen is similarly large and has all the facilities you could wish for for self-catering. This room also has external steps to the garden. The ground floor is completed by a second living room or family room with another open fireplace, television and DVD player, and a guest WC.

The upstairs is divided into 2 separate wings accessed by individual staircases. Each wing has two double bedrooms, one of which can also be a twin. The master bedroom has its own en suite and there are two further full bathrooms.

It can be found just outside a medieval village on the Drome-Vaucluse borders up from Avignon. The area is a delight of lavender fields, olive groves, woodland, vineyards, and fruit orchards. The villa is perfectly situated to explore the whole region.
