Home description

This new characteristic stone hamlet lies 500 meters from the charming town of Montecchio in a hilly position. From the villa you have a panoramic sight on the valley of the Tevere and the town self. The position of the villa allows to quickly reach the principal cultural and naturalistic beauties of Umbria, Rome and northern Lazio, southern Tuscany (from the villa in around 25 minutes driving you are on the motorway Rome-Florence).

The train station of Orvieto is 25 Kms far away, from the train station it is possible to reach Rome and Florence in around 1h30. The villa is suitable for max 8 persons. It has a garden with private swimming pool and there is an equipped covered terrace for eating outside. Restaurants and shops are available in the town of Montecchio on walking distance.

The Umbria region

In Umbria, a region that has gained a name for being the green heart of Italy, tourism is growing because of the unfamiliar harmony between nature, antiquities, historic centres and culture. The quiet of the countryside, good provisions and an inimitable cuisine are the great draw.

For those who wan to visit Rome and Florence:
BY CAR: The highway Rome-Florence is around 20 Kms away from the villa. It takes around 2h driving to reach Rome or Florance
BY TRAIN: The closest train stations is situated in Orvieto scalo (19 kms), it takes around 1h20 to arrive in the centre of Rome or Florence.


Montecchio area

Giove forms an ideal starting point for enjoying the peace of the surrounding hill and mountain landscape and on the other hand making at least 40 trips by car to sparkling towns like Todi, Orvieto, Narni, Spoleto, Viterbo (15 to 40 min.) or Perugia, Gubbio, Spello, Assisi, Tuscania and Tarquinia on the coast.

In the more immediate surroundings there are numerous charming little villages - of medieval origin: San Restituta, Civita di Bagnoreggio, Lugnano, Stroncone, Labro, Montefranco, Arrone, etc. You can also easily visit places in the southern part of Tuscany by car such as Siena, San Geminiano, Montepulciano, Pienza, Cortona, Senalunga, etc.

The Mediterranean Sea and the sand beaches situated between Tarquinia and Chiarone are 90 Kms away (around 1h20 driving).
