"Everything was absolutely wonderful"
We had the most wonderful stay at 'Villa il Cilliegio'. Our hosts welcomed us at the agreed time, and we found the house, garden, and pool in perfect condition, clean and tidy. The owners had left us welcoming presents and they were very helpful, answering our questions, and gave us all the info we needed.
The house is situated in the most beautiful setting with a wonderful view - a very quiet area. The property is all fenced in witch was great as we travelled with our 3 year old son. The garden was beautiful decorated with many many flowers, witch the owner attended every other morning, when she also cleaned the pool. What a service!!
Absolutely Nothing bad to say about this Villa or the owners.

The initial idea was not to start our holiday in Tuscany near Lucca, but Villa il Ciliegio drew my attention because it looked so nice, had a garden with a private pool and it was on offer in that period. In the end we decided to alter our plans and book this accommodation. A nice private pool in a beautiful garden seemed really nice after travelling from Holland by car.
Communication by email with owner Lodovica was excellent, especially because her English was – as she mentioned herself – not too good. Normally her son Matteo took care of reservations and communication with guests, but he was on holiday.
Upon arriving in the town of Montecarlo, we had trouble finding Villa il Ciliegio. We received the gps coordinates of the house (because of the lack of a street name), but our car navigation had problems using gps coordinates. Lodovica and Matteo were kind enough to drive to town so we could follow them back to the house. Over there they showed us everything and we received some delicious welcome attentions.
The house itself is really nice and well equipped. The real stunner is the garden, with all the different spots where you can sit, have a drink and lunch or dine. Two of them are covered porches. The pool is big and very refreshing and the view… it's just breathtaking! We had our moments when we were having a drink in the garden and just stared for a moment without saying anything. And we took dozens of photo's of course. ;-)
There are many nice places to visit in the area, so it was a perfect starting point. Montecarlo is a lovely town and we were lucky enough to be there during festivities. Lucca is a very pretty medieval town that has a great vibe and never feels crowded.
Lodovica and Matteo were really hospitable from the start until we left. They made us feel very welcome and for us this stay has been the perfect example of typical Italian hospitality.
reading your review we were very happy about your words. This makes us really proud of the work we have done untill today and encourages us to do our best for our guests. This is why we always try to give an unforgettable stay to all our customers. Taking care of every detail of their stay from arrival to departure.
We will be really glad to welcome you again.

"Excellent garden & pool; peaceful location"
The villa was in a lovely location with superb views. The garden was well designed with a well thought out choice of eating areas. The only disappointment was the weather - it was cool whilst we stayed at the end of May which meant that the house was cold in the evenings. Due to local laws the heating could not be turned on which did spoil our evenings.
The welcome pack was superb!
we were very happy to read your review, we work to give you a unique stay to all our guests. Unfortunately, in our area at that time of the year you can not turn the heating due to local laws.
We hope to be able to host you again and your entire family,
Lodovica and Matteo
