Belvedere San Martino, a top-first floor apartment -offers an ideal tranquil base to relax and to explore the region, being within easy reach of the Sibillini Mountains, the Umbrian hills and the Adriatic coast. It is also ideal if you want to try out Italian living for a longer period. The lovely balcony/terrace (2.5 m x 7.5 m) with dining table and chairs offers amazing views of the surrounding hilltop towns and countryside, stretching to the sea.
The apartment sleeps 4 people comfortably; one bedroom with a king-size bed with en suite bathroom and the other with twin beds.

The Marche / Abruzzo / Marche region
The region of Marche prides itself for still being well-preserved and quite unique for what it can offer and reveal. The sight of the dramatic mountain range contrasted with the rolling hills is striking. Walking in the Sibillini mountains and in the neighbouring Umbrian can be either a relaxing day out or a challenge for expert walkers. Alternatively, you might want to capture some scenes with your camera lens or on canvas. You may decide to visit the lakes, such as the Lago di Fiastra. The picturesque areas in the vicinity of the Adriatic coast are also recommended for outdoors swimming. This is an all year round place, with winter skiing in Sassotettto, near Sarnano; swimming in the warm summer weather, truffles and chestnut festivals in the autumn.
A day out visiting the numerous local markets or the piazza of Fermo, Ascoli and Macerata, with their cafes and cobble stone streets is also highly recommended. Keen cyclists will find many panoramic-challenging rides. A refreshing swim in clear water in Lago di Fiastra; San Ginesio for an out-door pool. Several private establishments welcome outside guests to spend a day by their pool either on payment of a small fee or by having lunch or dinner in their premises. The Conero Golf Club is near Sirolo
Monte San Martino area
Monte San Martino is a medieval hill top village in a stunning location. 600m above sea level, it hangs high over the Val Tenna. The neighbouring towns of Amandola, Santa Vittoria, Sarnano, with its San Giacomo SPA, San Ginesio and San't Angelo, Gualdo, Penna San Giovanni etc. are a short drive from the village.
In Monte San Martino you will find a post office, bank, newsagent, grocery shop, bakery and a pharmacy. There are two cafes, both just two or three minutes walk away and an excellent family-run restaurant “Priori” in the main piazza, which is open for lunch and dinner. Another pizza-restaurant- Le Querce- is situated just few minutes drive outside the village.
The pride of the town is the numerous works of art in its churches. The main village church of San Martino houses polyptychs of exceptional importance. The celebrated paintings are the ones created by Vittore and Carlo Crivelli in the tardo 400, some of their work can also be viewed at the National Gallery in London. Historic cities like Macerata and Ascoli Piceno, with their lovely piazze, museums, and markets, restaurants and cafes are about an hour away by car.
There is also a direct-daily bus from Monte San Martino to Macerata for when you don't want to use your car.
Outdoor tennis court can be booked here in the village, and a panoramic outdoor pool is just few minutes drive from the apartment in the summer. Beautiful walking trails are nearby, both in the vicinity and in the neighbouring Umbrian hills

Monte San Martino is reachable by several airports with direct flights from the UK. Ancona is the nearest, closely followed by Pescara. Rimini, Bologna (Forli), and Bologna are all reasonable accessible. Approximate timings are give below. Ancona airport is about 1hr 15 minutes away.
