Seafront unit separated from the beach only by an ample beachfront promenade. This quiet unit, high above the hustle and bustle of the streets below, has two bedrooms and a bathroom on the lower level. The upper level features a second bathroom and an ample Great Room, with kitchen, dining and lounge areas, that opens to two large terraces via floor-to-ceiling sliding glass doors.
From the bedroom balconies and the rear rooftop terrace your eyes will spread over the whitewashed roof terraces and terracotta roofs of Monte Gordo, typical of southern Portuguese architecture, towards the low lying hills of Serra do Caldeirão, the natural reserve tidal marshlands, all the way to Ayamonte (Spain) on the other side of the Guadiana river.
From the penthouse Great Room, you will be mesmerised by the view of the pristine blue waters of the ocean. The view from the front terrace encompasses the entire beach, the forest reserve that surrounds Monte Gordo, the beachfront promenade, and extends, towards west, to the coastal sandbar islands of Tavira and Armona.

The Monte Gordo area
Monte Gordo is a seaside resort surrounded on three sides by a natural forest reserve, located on the eastern tip of Algarve, 3 km from the Guadiana river
It is located at the centre of a stretch of 8 km of sandy beach that extends from the mouth of the Guadiana River to the historic village of Cacela Velha
Short drive to several picturesque nearby towns: vibrant Vila Real de Santo Antonio (3 km), historic Castro Marim (6 km), quaint historic Cacela Velha (8 km), exciting Ayamonte, Spain (7 km) and historic Tavira (20 km)

Enjoy the gastronomic experience of both Portuguese and Spanish cuisine within a 15 min. drive radius: Monte Gordo has lots of bars and restaurants, in town and on the beach, that offer excellent seafood and, of course, the many great wines Portugal has to offer; plenty of other superb dining opportunities exist in nearby coastal resorts in Portugal and in the Spanish region of Andalusia.
Motorway A22 will take you quickly anywhere along the coast, from Faro and Tavira to the modern bridge across the Guadiana to Ayamonte, Spain

This has to be the nicest place we have stayed in the Algarve, on all counts from dealing with the agent to spending 2 lovely weeks here, the apartment has every thing you need to enjoy a relaxing holiday, the location is really good for both bars restaurants, also the beach is on your doorstep, on the rear balcony is a large brick built in BBQ, which for us was essential as we had more BBQ's than meals out, we are hoping to go again next year for the 3rd time |

We thought the apartment was top class - absolutely fantastic - loved it - well equipped, clean and in a great location. I felt quite at home using the washing machine! The apartment block felt very secure and was quiet. The cleaners in the lobby area were most helpful in telling us where to buy bread etc. Thank you for organising the transfers to/from the airport - Carlos was most prompt in picking us up on Saturday for our return to the UK. I've already had a look at the availability for later this year to bring my family. GW, May 2009
