The Midi-Pyrenees / Lot region
Domaine Lapeze, an original pilgrim resting place along the route to Santiago de Compostela, is situated 25km south-west of Cahors in the Lot.
This is the ideal place from which to discover the medieval cities of Cordes sur Ciel and St. Cirq Lapopie, as well as the treasures of Cahors, Montauban, Moissac, Albi and Toulouse and at the same time enjoy the culinary delights of the South West of France.
Montcuq area
Activities in the area include cycling (bicycles can be hired in the village), riding, fishing (lake within walking distance), tennis (there are courts nearby), there is also a 9-hole golf course approximately 12km away.
The village, MONTCUQ, is thriving. It has shops, 4 restaurants, 3 bars, a small market of home produce held during the summer on Thursdays and a much larger weekly Sunday market all year.
How to get there
Driving from Paris: Take the A20 motorway to Cahors. Take the exit for Cahors Sud (Junction 58) and follow the signs for Cahors (N20) at the next 2 roundabouts. After about 10km on the N20, you will come to a third roundabout. Follow the D653, signposted to MONTCUQ - it is a small windy road of about 25 kms. After passing the Montcuq village sign, continue on D653, passing a supermarket "Shopi" on your right. At the pedestrian crossing turn right onto “Chemin Gayrac”, signed Lapeze. Carry on, keeping right, up the hill. After some plum orchards you will see Domaine Lapeze on the left.
Driving from Toulouse: From Toulouse Airport follow the signs for the A62 motorway to Bordeaux and Agen. You have to pay toll on motorways in France. The "péage" from Toulouse to Montauban is €2.20 - they accept credit cards – and from Montauban to Cahors, it is €2.90. Just before Montauban, the motorway splits, follow the signs for Paris/Limoges. This will take you to the A20 motorway after Montauban. Take the exit for Cahors Sud (Junction 58) and follow the signs for Cahors (N20) at the next 2 roundabouts. Further details indoors: The two upstairs bedrooms are both en-suite with showers. There is a double bedroom and a twin-bedded room. Access to the rooms is from the upper terrace.
The living area consists of one large room sofa, dining table and chairs. The kitchen is fully-equipped with cutlery, plates, cooking utensils, kettle, oven, cooker, dishwasher, washing machine and fridge-freezer.
Further details outdoors: Les Terrasses faces west and leads directly into the garden and vineyard. There is a partly covered terrace equipped with chairs, table, sun-loungers, parasol and a barbecue for your exclusive use.
The floodlit swimming pool is 5 by 11 metres with a diving board and faces south with sun all day. From the pool terrace there are wonderful views over the plum orchards and the village in the distance.

The pool is maintained and cleaned daily and is shared with the other guests.
We provide blankets, pillows, sheets, towels and table linen. Gas and electricity included. Mid week cleaning € 30 extra.
Conditions
Deposit on booking is 25% of the full rent due and the remaining amount has to be paid 4 weeks before the holiday commences.
Cheques should be made payable to 'C F KRISTOFFERSEN' and must be in Euros.
