The 200 sqm villa is a typical stone barn in an early '900 style, characterized by the tranquility of the Tuscan countryside of San Gimignano in which it is immersed.

It can be accessed via a large private and completely fenced garden of 2,000 sqm.

The house is the result of a recent and refined restructuring. It combines harmoniously the typicality of its Tuscan finishes with beamed ceilings and rafters, with grilled windows and stone walls, with interior finishes by the more modern taste.

With the intent to create a context which convey the atmosphere of harmony, freshness and relaxation great importance is given to lighting and color of the walls and furniture.

The splendid achievement is possible thanks to some natural light sources such as large glazed arches overlooking the garden on the ground floor and in the living area, the typical grid in the night area and thanks to points of light with windows formed in the floor which accentuate the architectural peculiarities of the villa.

The garden is a large space in perfect union with the dwelling and the surrounding countryside.

Starting from may, the garden is home to a lovely private swimming pool above ground of mt 6, 5 x 3 .5 h 1.20 for guests of the villa.

Here you can relax, sunbathe near the swimmingpool, eat or meet again after a healthy hike, a bike or horse riding through the picturesque routes immersed in the beautiful countryside.

From the garden around the three sides of the house you can get into the living area where there is a large relax area with a comfortable sofa bed, a living room with fireplace, a kitchen with utility/laundry room, a bathroom.

Wooden staircase with ivory handmade steps leads to the upper level where the floor is covered by wooden planks painted white in a natural way.

On the right there is a large study area with a bathroom, while on the left there is a bedroom with a double bed and a small loft where you can sleep or relax while reading or listening to music.

The master bedroom with dressing room and a spacious bathroom with Jacuzzi.

The Tuscany region

Tuscany has always been among the most visited Italian regions. Rich in history, art cities, monuments and important natural areas.Among the sites included in the UNESCO list, the monuments of Tuscany are even 6. The first to be included in the world heritage site was in 1982 the entire historic centre of Florence.

The city of Dante were then added in subsequent years other important monuments of rare beauty, such as the Piazza del Duomo di Pisa and its famous leaning tower and the historic centres of other beautiful towns such as San Gimignano, dotted with many typical medieval towers, Siena famous for its characteristic shell-shaped square, and Pienza. More recently, in 2004, the UNESCO has included in protected sites, even the entire Val d'Orcia, broad Valley located in the province of Siena famous for its particular landscape of the "Crete", dotted with isolated farmsteads on rolling hills.

Montauto

San Gimignano is in a strategic position due to its proximity to the major cultural, historical ad touristic sites: Florence is just 45 km, Siena 30 km, Pisa 70 km and 30 km away there is Volterra.

Special sea locations such as Castiglioncello, so beloved by italian and foreign artists, can be reached in about an hour and a half by car.

San Gimignano rises on a hill dominating the Elsa Valley with its towers. Once the seat of a small Etruscan village of the Hellenistic period (200-300 BC) it began its life as a town in the 10th century . The town increased in wealth and developed greatly during the Middle Ages thanks to the "Via Francigena" the trading and pilgrim's route that crossed it.

Such prosperity lead to the flourishing of works of art to adorn the churches and monasteries. In 1199 it became a free municipality and fought against the Bishops of Volterra and the surrounding municipalities.

Due to internal power struggles it eventually divided into two factions one headed by the Ardinghelli family (Guelphs) and the other by the Salvucci family (Ghibellines). On the 8th May 1300 Dante Alighieri came to San Gimignano as the Ambassador of the Guelph League in Tuscany.San Gimignano overcame its decline and isolation when its beauty and cultural importance together with its agricultural heritage were rediscovered. The construction of the towers dates back to the 11th and 13th centuries. The architecture of the city was influenced by Pisa, Siena and Florence. There are 14th century paintings of the Sienese School to be seen and 15th century paintings of the Florentine School.

San Gimignano lives throughout the year with its musical and historical events.
