Villa Campriano Villa Only
Villa | 4 bedrooms | sleeps 6
The Val d'Orcia stretches to the south of Siena in a landscape at once harmonious and poetic that strikes the imagination: this is a landscape full of light, characterised by gentle hills rolling as far as the eye can reach and crisp clear colours, distinctly different and enthralling in every season of the year. It is a highly evocative territory, which, precisely on account of the essential perfection of its landscape has been included in the Unesco list of World Heritage Sites: scenery that was celebrated by the artists of the Sienese school, the reproductions of which have become symbols of the Renaissance and have profoundly influenced the mode of conceiving the landscape. In the heart of this natural and cultural Artistic Park, just a short distance from spots of elevated historic and artistic interest (San Quirico d'Orcia is just 1.8 km away, Pienza 3.5 km, with Montalcino and Montepulciano also within easy reach) and famous spas (Bagno Vignoni, Bagni San Filippo, Chianciano and San Casciano dei Bagni), Villa Campriano is set upon a hilltop, commanding a magnificent 360-degree view over the surrounding valleys and hills, with their undulating contours cloaked in woods, farmhouses heralded by rows of cypress trees, churches and ancient hamlets. Considering the passion, the quality of the materials and the loving precision with which it has been performed, the just-completed renovation of this old farmhouse is one of the finest examples in the entire Val d'Orcia. The property extends over 25 hectares of woods and olive groves, has well-tended external areas complete with a panoramic 6x12 m swimming pool, an unusual and attractive internal courtyard and a veranda where guests can eat in the open air. The interiors are spacious and furnished with attention to the tiniest detail, with a large extremely comfortable living area and a splendid Tuscan kitchen on the ground floor, while the sleeping area on the first floor has magnificent bathrooms with large washbasins in travertine stone. The quality furnishings create the atmosphere of the typical houses of the Tuscan countryside, elegant and welcoming. Another special feature of the villa is the delightful breeze wafting up every day from the woods in the valley below to cool the hilltop.
The annexe, which faces the internal courtyard, has also been made ready for the 2011 season. The restoration work, which has just ended, was carried out with the same standards of quality, elegance, care and charm that distinguish this enchanting property. The annexe is made up of 2 bedrooms with private bathroom, living-room and a spectacular kitchen with dining area. The annexe will be available only for larger groups (up to 6 people only the villa, from 7 to 10 the villa and the annexe are available).

The Tuscany region
History, culture, natural beauty, crystal waters, dazzling beaches...and food to die for. Italy really does have it all. From Venice's architectural jewels in the north to Puglia's sun soaked olive growths in the south, there's something for everyone in this country of infinite variety.
Whether you choose to spend your time exploring the Adriatic Coast, with its white sands and dramatic promontories, or the gentle rolling hills of Umbria, where almost every view is reminiscent of a Renaissance painting, your time in Italy will be time well spent.
And let's not forget the Italian Lakes, whose serene and ageless splendour has beguiled visitors for centuries. As has the island charm and Sicily and Sardinia, two very different yet equally enchanting holiday destinations. Last, but by no means least, is there any other city on the planet that can match Rome for its combination of ancient history and cosmopolitan style?
Prepare to relax in the most enchanting surrounds you have ever seen...
The Italian countryside is the place to enjoy an authentic experience, to appreciate the real old traditional flavours, or just to watch life go slowly and peacefully by. The Tuscan hills, historical villages, cellars where you can taste some of the regions greatest wines. The world famous towns of Florence and Siena, as well as many other beautiful, well loved Tuscan towns like Pisa, Volterra and Montelpulciano all within a short drive.
The Chianti countryside, where you will find many of Tuscany's most charming locations, such as San Gimignano, has been a popular destination for international travellers for many years and we are delighted to welcome them all to our portfolio.
