Adjacent to Villa Pia, the master property, yet completely private and independent, Villa Giovannelli has three bedrooms and three bathrooms and can sleep up to 6 guests. The property has been restored to make the very best of all the original features of the old barn. From the original whitewashed beams, to the use of wood for flooring, staircase and the wonderful use of glass makes the property light and bright making it a truly refreshing Tuscan home.

The ground floor is split into two with one half which offers a spacious open-plan living area with dining and kitchen areas. A private hallway leads to the master bedroom with its own built-in panoramic circular tub that overlooks the garden. Upstairs there are two further bedrooms and two bathrooms.

The excellent kitchen space is well equipped, with useful accessories and there are also laundry and storage spaces.

The villa is air-conditioned throughout with high speed internet and all bedrooms have their own television.

Signora Rita, the owner lives in the master property with two of her three daughters and is on hand to help guests if they should need assistance. She also personally welcomes her guests and an aperitif is offered on the beautifully appointed terrace. During the week she holds cooking lessons and can provide beautiful dinners on request. Villa Pia is an outstanding property, decorated to the highest standards and under exceptional circumstances for larger groups or two familes looking to holiday together, the villa may be rented together with Villa Giovannelli.

The salt water swimming pool is situated in the garden where guests can enjoy the sun from dawn until dusk. Shade is provided by poolside umbrellas, an adjacent pergola and various areas of shady garden planting. The lake, set withing the grounds is fenced. There is also a private parking area.

The Tuscany region

The people of Tuscany can rightly claim to have just about the best of everything - Italy's greatest collection of art, classical architecture, beautiful countryside, some of finest fresh produce and many renowned quality wines.

Over 600 years ago, it was the home of the Renaissance that had such a dramatic effect on the remainder of Europe. Visitors today are drawn to Tuscany by the architectural splendours of Florence and Siena, the magnificent art of Donatello, Michelangelo, Leonardo da Vinci and many other 14th to 16th century masters.

But there is much more to a stay in Tuscany, a wonderful rolling countryside and some of Italy's most impressive hill towns including San Gimignano and Volterra. Wherever you travel in Tuscany you will come across villages with charming piazzas, historic churches, cafes and enticing food shops, and a countryside overflowing with olive groves, vineyards and fields of sunflowers.

Montaione

There is a wide choice of sporting facilities in the surrounding area; a tennis club in Castelfiorentino, bicyles can be rented, horse riding can be booked locally and fishing can be arranged.

The owner of the villa is on hand to assist you to make the very best of your holiday and can recommend places to visit and will make reservations for sports facilities and local restaurants. Through her excellent local contacts, private tours and informal visits can be organised to potteries, historic villas, gardens, vineyards and olive mills.
