The apartment we want to propose seeps 2+2 people and consists of kitchen, double bedroom with balcony, bathroom with shower.

Santa Maria is a delightful farmhouse decorated in Tuscan style; made up of severral apartments. The apartment features cotto floors, wooden beam ceilings and a great balcony or terrace where relaxing whilst admiring the panorama.

The apartment is fully equipped with kitchen, 1 double bedroom, bathroom with shower outside space. The garden is carefully looked after by our father as well as the beautiful swimming pool. Relax by the pool whole reading a good book or sipping a glass of wine! In the garden there is also a barbecue for special dinners. We organize live music parties with us (Stefania and Laura) and our father singing.

The ambiance is extremely quiet and relaxing with nothing disturbing your rest! Excellent restaurants reachable also on foot in the immediate surroundings! Sport facilities, city tours and excursions available.

The Tuscany region

Our region offers numerous places of interest; Florence, Siena, Lucca, Pisa as well as charming medieval villages such as:

Montaione
In the historical centre Palazzo Pretorio, the panoramic view, the Roman cistern, S.Regolo Church. In the centre there is a gorgeous balcony where admiring the famous Tuscan hills!
S.Vivaldo cloister
Dozen of little churches called "Italian Gerusalem" which represent a reproduction of Gerusalem during Cristo's life.
Certaldo. It is a medieval village where the world famous writer Boccaccio was born. You must visit the church of S.Michele & Jacopo and the “Palazzo Pretorio” (in summer there are special events like classical music concerts). In July you can’t miss “Mercantia”, a theatre festival.
San Gimignano is “the village of the towers”; it had once 72 towers!! Nowadays there are approx. 20 towers still visible coming from the surroundings. Driving toward San Gimignano you will see these towers arising from the countryside. You must visit: the historical centre, the “Collegiata” or Duomo, Palazzo del Popolo, Piazza del Duomo.
Vinci. Leonardo, the most famous Tuscan artist in the world, was born here. You must see the Museo Leonardiano, (Castello dei Guidi) and the house of the maestro (35 km, half a day).
Volterra
Marvellous Etruscan village, Volterra is located on the Valdelsa hills. You must visit: the historical centre where buying delightful alabaster objects, the Baptistere, the Dome, Priori’s Palace and the Minacci-Solaini Palace.
Montelupo Fiorentino
Capital of ceramics and Terracotta.
Montespertoli
The city of wine. In July there is a great wine party. You must visit the Church of S.Andrea, Poppiano castle, Montegufoni Castle, the “Pieve di S.Pietro in Mercato”, and the Botinaccio’s castle.

Montaione / Alberi area

Montaione is a quaint, ancient village dating back to the middle age rich in art, history, culture and traditions; in the area we can find numerous archeological sites.
Montaione is located in the heart of the Tuscan countryside close to San Gimignano and Volterra, at approx. 40 min. driving distance far from Florence. Montaione is 373 above hte sea level and it is surrounded by a stunning countryside filled with vineyards, olive groves and fields of sun flowers!

Facilities in Montaione

- Horse Riding (1 km). Skill riders will guide you along path in the nature. All horses are "Quarter".
- S.Barbara's lake (12 km). Green area full equipped for fishing and pic-nic and walkings in the wood.
- Trekking in Montaione. By bikes or on foot you can visit 6 tracks in the nature by map and descriptions.
- Scooter and bikes rental. Booking in advance is possible to receive bikes and scooter directily at your door.
- Golf Courses (Castelfalfi 15 km). One of the most beautiful golf cours (18 holes) in the evocative atmophere of -City tour by bus. A local company organizes daily sightseeing tours to Florence, Siena, Pisa, Lucca and the outlet shops of fashion picking you up directly by us. Taxi service from and to the airport.
-Wine Tasting (5 km). In the wonderful Villa of Filicaja, on the hill of Montaione, you can have a delightful wine tasting experience guided by a skilled Sommelier. You will taste several kind of Chianti Doc wines in a friendly atmophere.
-Caste Cooking class. (20 km). Inside the castle kitchen you will learn how to prepare a complete Italian menu wearing hat and apron feeling like a real chef. At the end you dinner all togheter.
-Olive-oil tasting (8km). Discover the production process of the authentic olive-oil and then taste it with some bread, the famous "Bruschetta".
-Meat shop "Mattone Due" (2km). The best meat, "Bistecca alla fiorentina" or "Cinta Senese" can be found in this family company.
-Truffle tasting (5 km). A unforgettable experience. 2 activities (long or shirt) seraching the truffle in the wood guided by skill men and their dogs. After Truffle tasting in several ways: with honey, with bread, with sauce....
-Artistic terracotta (3km). Grant a walking from us by Vallibonci, where you can find an artist's workshop. -Outlet "Tuscans" (12km) Outlet factory, leather, bags and more in a top quality. www.tuscans.it/outlet
-Outlet "The mall" 50 km. The best famous outlet where you can find the most important brand as Gucci, Prada, Versace, Armani..

Santa Maria Farm holiday is ideally located at 30 mins far from Pisa airport which is connected with: New York (Delta airlines) , Dublin, London, Barcelona (Ryanair) Madrid (Vueling), Paris (Easyjet), Berlin (Easyjet) , Alicante, Bruxelles, Bonn, Coventry, Doncaster, Edinburgh, Glasgow, Hannover, Liverpool, Munich, Olso, Malta, Siviglia and Vienna!!

The kitchen is fully equipped with kitchenware, dishes, glasses, gas stove, fridge and dish washer whilst the bedroom come with cotto floor, elegant wooden beam ceilings and soft lighting. The bathroom comes with toilet and shower. Both bedrooms have a balcony provided with garden furniture.

Further details outdoors:
A lush garden surrounds our property! Our father takes care of roses, bouganvilles, sun flowers and so on..it is truly a delight to come here in spring!

By the swimming pool each apartment has its own sunshade with table, chairs and sun beds for a complete relax!
Barbecue in the garden, secure parking. Children playground minutes far from us as well as tennis court, golf and so on. Bikes available on request
