About the home

The formal south terrace basks in sun all day, whilst the west terrace has a more garden feel - colourful and fragrant flowers, shady trees - and includes the covered terrace - the perfect G&T spot. The 12m x 4m pool is an idyllic spot to laze the day away.

For 2012, this Chateau comes fully staffed within the rental price with a Resident Chateau Manager, Cook/Housekeeper and Butler/Handyman. They will shop and cook for you providing and serving three meals each day, Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner. The cost of all food is extra and this is arranged with the staff. In addition, there will be 3 hours of Maid Service each morning.

The nearby 16th century barn has been fully restored, and has 5 top quality stables available. A resident groom can assist if needed. There are endless kilometres of bridleways in the beautiful surrounding countryside.

Set just a couple of kilometres from the local village, the Chateau is a blissful rural retreat, yet is still easily accessible from Agen and Toulouse.

Set on edge of the hilltop, the Chateau commands views for miles and the outdoor living has been designed around this.

There is a lower sun level terrace which can be accessed from the hallway between Bedrooms 4 and 5. Opening from Bedroom 3 and the reception rooms is another fabulous terrace which is ideal for dining and has a covered terrace for lunching during the heat of the day.

The pool which is alarmed is set within the garden area and has fabulous views over the valley. There are mature trees to provide shade when needed. Recliners are set around the pool as well as additional seating areas within the garden.

The Midi-Pyrenees / Tarn-et-Garonne region

The Chateau is set in the quiet countryside of the Tarn-et-Garonne and is truly out of this world.

Set amidst rolling French countryside but just a short distance to the beautiful villages of Miramont de Quercy, the hilltop gothic town of Lauzerte and the magnificent Roman town of Moissac.

The River Lot has beaches, canoeing, sailing and other activities such as boat trips and cruiser hire. For more cultural activities there are Frescoes, Caves and Museums all within a short drive of the Chateau.

The Montaigu-de-Quercy area

It is a short drive to the bustling town of Agen and there are over 40 picturesque and historic bastide towns to visit in the area. A part of France renowned for its gastronomy, the daily morning markets are a must for the visitor as well as all the local restaurants that cater for pretty much every budget and style. For a special treat, there is a Michelin star restaurant just 15 minutes drive away.

For more action packed activities, Golf d’Albret is an 18 hole golf course in Barbaste, 47230 just over 30 minutes away and there is a further 18 hole course at Villeneuve sur Lot Golf and Country Club. There is the adventure Park “Walibi” which is located closeby in Agen.

The area is full of activities for the whole of the family and the closest Equestrian Centre is 8 kms away at Lauzerte.

A deposit of 25% is required by the Owner to confirm the booking.

The final balance is due 12 weeks before arrival. A refundable damages deposit of £1500 is also required at that time.

The pool can be heated for an additional charge of £150. Please enquire.

In Low and Mid Season, electricity and heating is not included.

In low season, the Chateau may be able to accommodate shorter breaks such as long weekends. These breaks are ideal for golfing, wine tasting and fishing weekends. All these activities can be arranged locally.

In Low and Mid season, prices may be discounted for smaller groups. For further information, please enquire.

The rental price for 2012 includes the following services;
