In the private garden, you can enjoy a Pizza oven, BBQ area with tiled counter-bar, complimented by two huge old trees (American Ash and Camphor Tree). Next to your braai area and the teak patio furniture (big table and 6 comfortable chairs) you will find the best (**** four star) – "cool" up market place in Montagu. (Cozy fireplace in winter). Make Montagu your base to see the Cape Hinterland. A special day = Montagu-Robertson-Worcester-Tulbagh-Montagu or the magnificent Tradouws Pass with its pools and waterfalls: Montagu -Swellendam-Zuurbraak-Barrydale-Montagu or drive the Robertson Wine Route - Montagu - Robertson – Bonnievale- Montagu and do the world famous tractor ride to she summit of the Langeberg . At 12h00, be at the Burger's Farm for a traditional "potjiekos" lunch. Montagu-Burger's Pass – Montagu and enjoy the drive through Bonnievale and Stormsvlei to Bredasdorp, visit the fascinating Shipwreck Museum. A visit to the nearby little mission station of Elim with its Moravian church and picturesque cottages is a must. The entire village is a National Monument and nobody may live there unless a member of the church. The old watermill (1833), the largest wooden water mill in SA was renovated in 1990 and is in use again to grind wheat. Montagu-Bonnievale-Bredasdorp-Elim-L'Agulhas-Hermanus-Montagu or enjoy the Wacky Wine Festival in June or other Wine Festivals. Other things to do:

• Sport i.e. squash, tennis, rock climbing, fishing, horse riding etc.
