Home description

Newly renovated house in the heart of the French Alps. Stunning views from all rooms of the surrounding mountains. House on 3 floors with cave/wood storage on the ground floor. Spacious kitchen/living/dining room on 1st floor with toilet and laundry. Large double bedroom on the 2nd floor with en suite shower, sink and toilet. Two smaller bedrooms on the 3rd floor with shared shower, sink and toilet. Easily sleeps 5 to 6 people.
Maison, récentment renové au coeur de la vallée de Tarentaise. Vue dégagée sur la massif. Maison sur 3 étages avec cave rdc, cuisine/séjour/coin repas 1er étage, grande chambre (lit 2 pers) avec salle douche/wc en suite 2e étage, 2 chambres (un lit 2 pers, l'autre 2 lits simples) et salle douche/wc 3e étage. Maximum 6 personnes.

The Rhone / French Alps / Savoie region

-Savoie fell into obscurity until the 1950's when the "white gold" brought the area to the forefront of tourism with the opening of the first ski resorts. Currently the 3 valleys is the largest ski area in the world with over 200 ski lifts and 600kms of groomed pistes, snow board parks and off-piste

Montagny / Chef Lieu area

-Downhill and cross-country skiing in the 3 valleys ski area, link to the Meribel valley from Brides les Bains or Courchevel from Le Praz. Skiing in La Plagne/les Arcs ski area link from Champagny.
-Walking, climbing, viewing wildlife in the immediate area and in the beautiful Parc National de la Vanoise.
-Other great summer activities include Mountain biking, river rafting, kayaking, golf, tennis, fishing & swimming
-Plenty of opportunities for dining out/ taste the local cuisine
-Relax at the thermal baths at Brides les Bains. Drink their special "slimming water"

How to get there

-fly to Lyon St Exupery, Grenoble , Geneva or Chambery
-cheap flights available from Easyjet, BA, Flybe, Jet2 or Ryanair from many airports in the UK
-Car hire available at all airports. Europcar, Avis or Hertz are all possible. Driving time to Montagny from the airports is 1 to 2 hours
-Many airport transfer options during the ski season. All airports link to Moutiers by bus or train.
-You can drive from Calais on motorway to Moutiers in about 9 hrs. Montagny is about 15min up the hill from Moutiers
