The Quebec Province region

Quebec province is French speaking and is truly unique for its history, culture and geography. For a taste of old Europe visit Quebec City, a three hour drive. It is steeped in history with the only fortified city in North America. Stroll down its winding side streets and feel the romance of the city.

Ottawa one of the most beautiful G8 capitals in the world offers a mix of cultural and recreational opportunities and is only 2 1/2 hours drive away.

Montreal (90 minute drive) is a multicutural city which offers both traditional and modern culture in terms of sight seeing and shopping. The Grand Prix in June, top class tennis tournament in August and the Montreal Canadiens hockey team provide plenty of interests for the sports enthusiast also.

Mont Tremblant / Lac Superieur area

Feel at home in our luxury log cabin nestled in the heart of the Laurentian Mountains on the edge of Mont Tremblant National Park making it central for a huge variety of winter and summer activities.

The cabin is located only 8 minutes drive from the north side of Mont Tremblant, the world renowned resort run by Intrawest. The resort, voted No.1 in East North America has a network of 94 runs on 660 acres to suit all abilities and an extensive snow park with 18 acres of ramps and rails, plus a 130m half pipe. It is only 15 minutes to the bustling south side. Snow mobiles, snow shoeing, cross counrty sking and dog sledding is also available. Alternatively, relax in the Scandanavian Spa.

The area has a huge number of lakes and rivers and Mont Tremblant National Park is just 10 mins drive from the cabin.

New for 2008 is the largest Via Ferrata in North America, based at the entrance to the National Park. This consists of a network of ladders, bridges and cables which will provide a safe and controlled climbing route up the Vache Noire rock face. There are three levels: a novice level which will take approximately 3 hours to complete and is accessible to children 7 years and over. The intermediate level is open to children aged 11 and over and takes around 4.5 hours to complete. The third and more challenging route will take you up the spectacular rock face to viewpoints previously only accessible to expert rock climbers and will take 5 hours to complete. Groups of 8 people will be accompanied by a trained guide who will provide all the information and equipment to ensure everyone reaches the summit safely.

There are a wide range of outdoor activities to choose from; including several white water rafting companies operating on the nearby Devil’s River and Red River and traditional Canadian canoeing and kayaking which is available on these rivers and within Mont Tremblant National Park. Cycle hire is plentiful and cheap, and there are many cycle trails including the ‘Petit Train du Nord’ which is a 200km long cycle trail on a converted rail line.

You can swim in many of the lakes in the National Park or Lac Superieur near the cabin. Sailing, windsurfing and other water sports are available on Lac Tremblant and you can even take a seaplane trip from Lac Ouimet. Horse riding is also available taking you through forests, rivers and the National Park.

15 - 20 minutes drive away there are several excellent award winning golf courses open from May - October. The range of courses suits golfers of all abilities and several have renowned golfing academies for the beginner or experienced golfer looking to improve their game. Reasonably priced green fees and easy club and cart hire makes this area a great golfing centre.

Guestbook

Happy New Year! Just wanted to send you a quick email to say that we had a wonderful holiday in your cabin and would definitely recommend it! It is exactly like its pictures and had everything in it that we needed and more. The weather cooperated for most of the time and it was a true white Xmas.

Mrs Love and friends, from London, Christmas 2006/07

All in all, a very special experience. My children, as snowboarders, found the resort good value. I've been skiing for 45 years so know my way around most mountains, and while it was not super challenging, it was great fun. Canadians are also incredibly nice on the slopes!

Mr Novelli and family from New Jersey: March 2007

Your cabin was wonderful, so comfortable and well equipped. We collected the keys and found the cabin which had been left so warm and welcoming, and after a couple of hours a lady from the reception called to make sure everything was OK and made sure we knew we could contact them with any problems should we have any. We would love to return perhaps summer or autumn next time. You are lucky to have such a lovely holiday home and hopefully we will be in touch to rent again from you!!

Mr and Mrs Appleby and family from Yorkshire, UK: Christmas 2007/08

Just to say that we had a fabulous time at the cabin- it was perfect after a busy time in Toronto. We had really hot weather so spent most of our time in the National Park. Lac Lauzon , Munroe and Escallier were our favourites. The kids loved swimming in the lakes. We also spent time in Tremblant -going to top of mountain on the gondola. We used both pool and tennis courts after days out.

We found Quebec really relaxing and picturesque after the urban sprawl of Toronto- we will definitely be visiting Canada again - we thought a summer trip could well be combined with spending a couple of days in Ottawa or Montreal.

Mr Richardson and family from Lancaster, UK: July 2007

Just got back from our holidays today and wanted to say thank you so much for the use of your fantastic log cabin home. We enjoyed our break very much and after a good day on the slopes we really looked forward to returning back to the luxury and tranquillity of your fantastic log cabin.

We are definitely going to return the same time next year and hope to make a trip in the summer the following year. Thank you once again for opening up you home to us.

Mr and Mrs Jones and family from Weston-Super-Mare, UK: February 2008,
