We produce our own homemade jams, chutneys & juices.

BookThe Normandy / Manche region
Welcome to Normandy, a region steeped in history, and home to cider making and Calvados.
The region attracts visitors worldwide, who enjoy its spectacular coastline, lush forests, pretty villages and impressive historical monuments.
Le Mont St Michel is a 'must see'. Its fine architecture has beckoned visitors for over a thousand years. The rocky outcrop rises 80 metres and this impressive monument is one of the major tourist attractions in France. The spring tides are the most impressive in Europe whilst its night-time illumination ensures its presence is constantly visible.
The Bay of Mont St Michel is a haven for wildlife, especially the marshlands that attract an abundance of waterfowl. Its savage beauty can be enjoyed on foot, by mountain bike or through Pony Trekking
The Mont St Michel / Sacey area
For anglers, Normandy offers excellent freshwater, coarse & sea fishing, the tidal stretch of the River Couesnon at Pontorson is a picturesque spot. There are a number of small lakes that offer trout fishing ( Sacey, St James, Carnet), whilst the coast is easy accessible for salt-water fishing.
Pontorson was founded in the 12th Century under William of Normandy . William claimed Le Mont for Normandy & received the backing of the monastry when planning his invasion of Britain in 1066.He went on to become King Of England ' William the Conqueror'
The has an excellent weekly market with local cheeses, cider & of course Calvados. The church of Notre Dame dates from the eleventh century.

From initial booking contact, we had very good response from Helen to any questions or requests. On arrival we were made to feel welcome and shown the rooms which were to a very high standard, as was the rest of the family home. We stayed for evening meal two nights. Home cooked food was good. Specific requests for one child were accomodated without issue, greatly appreciated by our daughter! We had our meals and evening drinks in the barn outside which made it quaint and enjoyable. The family were very sociable and joined us each evening. A good location for enjoying the area. A trip to Mont st Michael and Dinan are a must. |
