About the home
The Gite is a self contained two bedroom cottage. One bedroom has a double and single with bathroom en suite (hip bath, basin and WC), the other has 3 single beds. Downstairs is a well equipped kitchen,including a microwave, a second WC with a shower, and a cosy salon with TV (English and French) and DVD and video payer. A dehumidifier is also available when its too hot !! Central heating on the ground floor and electric radiators upstairs (if necessary ! ). Smoke alarm, books, many videos and DVDs.
There is a small private garden to the rear with tables chairs and a built in brick BBQ. Perfect to watch the sunset and take an al fresco meal !
We also have three Chambres d'Hotes in the wing of the house with its own separate entrance. Guests in the Chambres D'Hotes take breakfast in the house (or garden when the sun shines! )

Just 8 kms from the famous sandy beach at Jullouville or the more relaxed beach at St Jean le Thomas. Excellent restaurants in Granville and Avranches as well as more intimate local restaurants. Golfing, riding, karting nearby. One hour from the Normandy D Day beaches. Or try the escorted walk across the bay to Mont St Michel.

Rentals for a minimum of one week, Saturday to Friday. Arrival time 4.00 pm, and departure time 11.00 am.
All bed linen, and towels (except beach towels) supplied.
Welcome pack on arrival to see you through the first evening if necessary!
Conditions
A refundable damages/breakages deposit of £100 (150 €) required, refunded within 2 weeks of departure.
Payment due 8 weeks before arrival.
The Normandy / Manche region
Within the golden triangle of Granville, Avranches and Mt St Michel.
About 90 minutes from the Normandy beaches. Sartilly, just 2 kms from la Fosse is well equipped with a supermarket, banks, bakers, butcher, doctor, garage etc
The Mont St Michel / Avranches area
Most famously Mont St Michel. Throughout summer there is the chance to take a guided walk across the sands, or even an escorted horse ride to visit Mont St Michel.There are also many local and regional festivals, and many magnificent firework displays - all free to attend.
Within easy driving there is golf, horse riding, canoeing, go-karting, a small specialist zoo, the fantastic beaches at Carolles and Jullouville as well as dune beaches at St Jean le Thomas.
Further afield the Normandy beaches and Bayeaux are worthy of a visit as well as the area of Normandy Suisse.

La Fosse is about a 90 minute drive from either Caen or Cherbourg, 60 minutes from St Malo. We may be able to help you with a discount on Brittany Ferries who sail to all the above 3 ports from either Portsmouth or Poole. LD Lines sail from Portsmouth to Le Havre (about 2 hours away from us) and can often offer cheaper fares than Brittany Ferries if booked early.

Gite rental is from a Saturday night to a Friday night inclusive All linen except beach towels is included as is gas and electric.Please note: We also have 3 Chambres D'Hote (B&B) in the main house for 55 euros per room per night including breakfast - minimum stay 2 nights. Regret we do not take credit cards but can accept payment in sterling (at applicable conversion rate) into a UK account.
