Home description

Beyly is a 6 bedroom former farmhouse & barn in open countryside. It is the perfect place to spend a family holiday or somewhere for a group just to get away from it all.

The house is set in its own land with no nearby neighbours. There is a private 12x5m pool next to the house which is ideal for cooling down in the hot weather. Extensive lawn areas lead down to two large open ponds, ideal for games or just walking through. The views from the house are to open countryside and two cliff top churches which are spectacularly lit up at night. The house is approached by a private drive and is well away from the nearest road, which is only minor.

The Aquitaine / Dordogne / Gironde region

This beautiful area of the Gironde with its wonderful climate lends itself to the local produce of grapes, prunes, asparagus and more. The rolling hills make it ideal for walking or cycling, the wooded areas and rivers are great for picnics.

There are lots of events in the area like the outdoor classical concerts and opera held in the courtyard at the Chateau de Duras or the famous 24hr Jazz Festival in Monsegur. Duras and Monsegur have a host of shops, restaurants and bars to cater for all your needs. Lac de Castelgaillard(10km) is a large lake which offers archery,riding, canoe and windsurfer hire, there is a sandy beach with swimming and waterslides.

Monsegur Gironde / Dieulivol area

A journey back in time, Dieulivol with its medieval church which can be seen on the hill from the house. The Bastille towns of Monsegur and Duras with its beautiful chateu both 5km away. The city of Bordeaux and the medieval towns of St Emillion and Monpazier are all reached within the hour by car.

There is fresh fare to be had at the markets in Monsegur on Fridays (morning) and Wednesday evenings (summer months) with cooked food and live music! Duras market on Mondays and the famous market of St Foy le Grande on Saturdays (20km)

Refundable breakages deposit of £500 required with booking, to be refunded within two weeks of your departure (subject to satisfactory property inspection).
50% of rental fee due six weeks before your stay to secure booking. Balance two weeks before your stay.
