This property has been restored and furnished to a very high standard providing beautiful gite accommodation.
Most of the house's original features have been retained, including exposed stone walls, beamed ceilings and an open fireplace. Skylights have been added to accentuate light and create an open feeling to the lounge/ dining room and kitchen. For the winter season the entire house is centrally heated.
This 150 year old farm house is an ideal tranquil location for a relaxing holiday. Set on the outskirts of a small XII century hamlet and located at the end of a quiet no through lane. Surrounded by vineyards and fields without any near neighbours and beautiful far reaching views over the Dropt valley.
This property has plenty of room for everyone to have peace and quiet should you wish. 3 lounge areas plus plenty of separate terraces, a large garden, its own orchard and of course plenty of room for lots of fun by the pool or the children's play area with swings and slide.
6 bedrooms in total, 2 doubles and 4 twin rooms comfortably accommodating up to 12 guests.

The 9 x 4 metre swimming pool is protected with an alarm. The pool is not fenced. If you wish a solar roof can be left in place to act as a barrier for small children, the pool can still be accessed for use.

The property has its own orchard to the rear and it's front garden is filled with flowering plants, cherry, pear, plum, apricot, olive and apple trees.

An ideal central location to explore Bordeaux, Bergerac and the Dordogne. Set in the Bordeaux wine region of France.
Bordeaux city, Bergerac and the Dordogne all less than 1 hour away.
There are many historic sites and attractions to visit. Information can be obtained from the local tourist information office located in Monsegur or Duras.
This is one of the largest wine producing areas of France. Enjoy a visit to one of the many vineyards on your doorstep.
There are several Pay & Play golf courses in the area.
A popular lake side fresh water beach is about 30 mins away.
The west coast long sandy beaches are about 90 minutes drive away. Great for surfing and just miles upon miles of sand - good facilities available.
An easy drive to many attractions include karting tracks, water parks and zoo.
The Monsegur Gironde / Dieulivol area
The local supermarkets are located in Monségur 3 miles away.
Monségur is a pretty XIII century Bastide town set around a market square which is host to a weekly market and also a weekly night market within the peak summer season.
There are cafés, bars, boulangerie, pharmacy, supermarket, banks with ATM's. A pizzeria/restaurant which hosts weekly live music. Other restaurants are also located in and around the town.
The town is known for its famous Jazz Festival - Monségur 24 Heures du Swing that takes place every July. An unforgettable weekend of jazz, wine and dance.
The town of Duras, perched on an escarpment above the river Dropt valley is a few kilometres away. Here there are local shops, bars and restaurants as well as the Château of the Ducs de Duras, now a museum. The château hosts concerts and events including a wine fair in late July or August, featuring the local appellation - Les Côtes de Duras. Duras has a lively open air market Monday mornings where locals sell fresh produce, fish, meats, baguettes and pastries, household goods and flowers.
The usual large French Hypermarkets all within 25 mins drive at La Reole, Marmande and Langon.

Eurostar/ TGV train can stop at either Libourne (40 mins drive via taxi) or Bordeaux station ( 1 hr drive) all the main car hire companies are available. We would recomend that you change at Lille which means walking across the platform, if you change at Paris this means having to travel across the city.
