Masseria Comara is in the hills behind Monopoly, a bustling town with a fascinating old centre and a busy little fishing port.
The Masseria has been completeley renovated and consists of a main biulding where the owners live for most of the year, and a lovely apartment, hich is rented all year. The accommodation has its own private patio andgarden area with a BBQ. The large 10 x 5m pool is shared with the very discreet owners. The grounds include a beautiful olive grove perfect for those early morning or evening strolls in the peace of the countryside

The Puglia/Molise region

Puglia is located in the "heel" of the boot of Italy. It is famous for its olives and local fresh produce, much of which is exported to the UK. The region is world renowned for its very unusual "trulli" houses made of stone, mainly located in the countryside. The towns lean toward the "baroque" in their archtecture.

Monopoli / Santa Lucia area

Within easy reach of both the Adriatic and Ionian coasts. Naples is a three and a half hour drive away on the Mediteranian coast, and Rome is about five and a half hours drive for the really adventurous. The local coastlines and towns deserve a visit, as there is usually a festival going on in at least one of them at any time during the summer.

On the lower level there is :- Self contained fully fitted kitchen with aa large free standing fridge/freezer dining area with double doors leading to the private patio and BBQ area. The lounge has comfortable seating area with a double sofa bed. There is also a downstairs shower room with wc.
On the upper floor:- Large double bedroom with good sized wardrobe. En suite bathroom. Travel cot and two additional single beds can be provided on request

When your in search of entertaiment, shops, restaurants, and bars, you find a huge selection in Monopoli and Fasano which is close by The nearest beach is at Capitolo which is 10km , or 10 mins from the property, and is reached by a serpantine road which has fabulous views over the Adriatic. A wide choice of rock and sandy beaches can be found within a 20-30km radius. The trullo capital , Alberobello and the largest Zoo-safari and Fun Park are within a 10 minute drive away. As are the lovely towns of Martina Franca, Ostuni, and Cisternino.
Mtera, famous as the location for Mel Gibsons film "Passion of Christ" is in nearby Basilicata. Approximately a 45 minute drive away.
