Home description

Apartment with private garden and pool. Beautifully furnished, sleeps 6, 2 bedrooms. Situated on the edge of Moniga del Garda. The apartment also has a large covered terrace where you can enjoy outside eating or maybe just drinks in the evening, even in inclement weather.

Wireless internet connection is available at no additional cost (please ask if required) and there is a plasma TV with local TV stations, a DVD player with a good choice of films. Within easy walking distance of the village centre where you will find bars and restaurants to suit all. The lake can be reached easily by foot where you will find lakeside restaurants, bars, ice-cream parlours and of course boat hire and scooter hire, also there is Moniga Port (Marina) where you can board the regular ferry service to all other parts of the lake.

The Lombardy / Lake Garda Area

Moniga del Garda area

Moniga del Garda was supposedly named after the goddess Diana Munichia, and some scholars believe a temple dedicated to her once existed in the area. The town lies at the centre of the hills that stretch from Desenzano to Salò. The old part of the town sits on a hill, while the modern section surrounded by olive trees descends to the lake and its picturesque port. The economy is based on tourism, and there are many hotels, camping sites, residences and services. Olive groves and vineyards flourish in the area. Moniga del Garda is the largest producer of "Chiaretto" a local wine that is famous worldwide.

Close to airports: Verona Brescia (10Km 20mins) Milan Bergamo (50Km 50mins) Venice Marco Polo (2Hrs) Ryanair from East Mids, Luton Stanstead, Liverpoll Dublin etc. Easy Jet from East Mids, Birmingham. Will give advice on flights if required. Car hire is about £20.00 per day. Trains to Desenzano from all mayor cities.

Kitchen is fully equipped for use and includes large fridge/freezer, electric oven, gas hob and extractor fan.
The lounge has large L shaped sofa which converts to a very comfortable double bed, 32’ plasma TV and DVD player also included is use of wireless internet connection. Shuttered doors leading out onto the terrace.
Price includes all towels, bed- linen and final cleaning.
