Home description
With its original wooden beams and stone walls La Bodega is situated in the quiet, peaceful and very friendly village close to the breathtaking views of the Rio Sil at Cadeiras, site of the local fiesta in September.
The kitchen/diner leads out onto a private gravelled and tiled courtyard for dining al fresco or a quiet area for reading and relaxing outside. The courtyard has garden table, chairs and umbrella as well as potted flowers. The metal gate looks out onto the barbeque area, garden and pool.
The bedroom (approx. 4m x 5m) leads out onto the large garden which affords plenty of play area for a child, sunbathing area with sun loungers, awning, umbrellas and tables as well as a private swimming pool. There is also an enclosed fish pond.
The garden overlooks outstanding views of the countryside around.

The Galicia region
Pinol As Chousas is situated in the wine growing region of the Ribeira Sacra. Close to the holiday let are the vineyards on the slopes of the Rio Sil and various bodegas. A visit on the wine trail is a must.
In summer the temperatures around Monforte de Lemos can reach up to 35 degrees, so it can get very hot. Shops open between 10am and 1.30pm and again between 5pm and 8.30pm. The restaurants open around 1.30pm to 3.30pm and then 9.30pm until the last person leaves. Children are welcomed everywhere. Bars stay open all day serving breakfast snacks, tapas and drinks throughout the day.

Monforte de Lemos area
Activities; Quads, Horse riding, Rafting, Paintballing, Cycling. Please note that although we do not recommend any of the activities mentioned we are happy to help you arrange any that you may wish to undertake.
Monforte de Lemos: sites to visit - Colexio, Castle and Parador. Experience the wonderful steaks, chorizos salchichones and inexpensive seafood that only Galicia can offer. August is usually the cultural month in Monforte with various activities going on ie. firework displays, markets and outdoor shows with local music and dancing. The Spanish love a fiesta and young and old come out to enjoy them.
The local fiesta of Pinol is held in September (usually 7th-9th September) at Cadeiras. This is usually celebrated with the usual music and dancing and is very popular. There is much merriment among the locals.

Further details indoors: The large spacious bedroom comfortably holds one double bed and a futon/travelling cot/bunk beds, chest of drawers and wardrobe as well as iron and ironing board. There are ample reading books and games available. The fully tiled en suite shower room contains a wc., sink, and shower cubicle. The kitchen/diner contains a three seater sofa and dining table and chairs. There is a four ring gas hob and hot plate but no oven.
Smoke alarm fitted.
Further details outdoors: The swimming pool is available from 1st March 2008. It is 1.5m deep at both ends and children MUST be accompanied and supervised at ALL times. Please note that towels for the pool are not provided.
The garden has various fruit and nut trees providing ample shade. A sunbathing area with sun loungers and umbrellas affords spectacular views of the countryside.
A parking space is provided in the enclosed front courtyard.
