The Galicia region
Galicia is the green area of Spain. Steeped in history with many ancient towns and cities of interest to visit.Santiago de Compostella is renowed for its Cathedral at the end of the Pilgrims trail. Although not as hot as the Costas Galicia still boasts a lot of sunshine and heat.
Monforte de Lemos area
Monforte de Lemos is a busy town with plenty of banks and supermarkets restaurants and cafes. There is a large outdoor market held on the 6th and 24th of each month. Fiestas are a regular occurance through out the year. A glass bottomed boat with bar takes you on trips along the river Sil. Also on the river Miño there is a smaller but similar boat.
